Boker Arbolito 02BA593H Esculta Stag Fixed Blade Knife with 5-3/4 in. Bohler N695 Steel Blade

This knife is gorgeous. Polished blade (not mirror polished), beautiful stag handles...this is an heirloom piece for sure. But it also was hair popping sharp, with nicely ground edges. The tang does protrude slightly above the stag scales, but is not bothersome. The stag handles provide lots of grip texture but are not abrasive. Balance point is just behind the guard, which is fit very well. And the sheath is very nice, although it looks better than it feels. It has a hard feel, not supple like some other full hide custom sheaths that I have. Too many coatings, maybe? It is very handsome looking and functional, with multiple carry options. (The dangler can be removed and the sheath worn via the belt loop instead for a higher ride.) To undo the closure, pull the strap end away from the button stud so that the stud is positioned more toward the slot in the strap, then lift the strap up and off of the stud. The knife is held very securely with the strap fastened. I will definitely be buying more Boker stag handled knives.Edit: the leather comments were made immediately after I removed the sheath from the plastic shopping bag. After being out and “breathing” for 24 hrs, the leather feels much better.

Great knife looks good but the hilt was extremely loose and I just didn’t have any confidence in it so I sent it back won’t be buying from Boker again.

I'm impressed for what I paid , the sheath is top notch and the knife is just what I wanted ...and the blade is very sharp...I'm gonna get a couple more for Christmas Gifts

Very well-made die for the price of it

Bought for the bone scales, the tan leather sheath, and the blade steel. Found fit and finish were lacking. Gap between scale and tang. Sharpening on both sides of blade were uneven. Knife did not come to a point. Sheath was unevenly printed and did not symmetrically fit the knife; was off center. Very surprised by the poor craftsmanship of this knife and went to the Buck Bowie (I got an anniversary edition) which was less money and seems to be greater value. Returned this one, will not buy again.

By far this is one of the most beautiful knives I have used.This is not simply a wall hanger . This is a razor sharp piece of art.Very sturdy 1/4 tang with a flat grind a just a all around beautiful knife.The sheath is also a great addition. Multiple carry options for a leather sheath.In this price range, you owe it to yourself to seriously consider this.
