We had a cabinet contractor in the house recently, and he was using this unit to locate studs; I thought that if it was good enough for a professional, it would be good enough for me. I then bought one, and this little gizmo has not disappointed. I have been hanging some heavy pictures and mirrors in my new house, and this thing has correctly located the studs every time. I am happy I got this.

It was nice not to guess if I hit the center of the stud as I hung my new 75" T.V. Very easy to use and took all the questions out. Inexpensive, too.

Have used it and dropped it many times. Took the abuse and still works fine. I would recommend.

I bought this to shore up some existing drywall. Accuracy, (Only gets it right some of the time).

I've used many stud finders over the years and this is the best one to date. In the past I've found myself always marking the leading edge of a stud by moving along the wall from both directions and then going back and marking the midpoint between my two marks to identify the center of the stud (time consuming and doesn't feel super accurate). I don't have to do that with this stud finder; as you move it across the wall, the lights on the arrow at the top of finder light up progressively (red) until it lights up green when you hit the center of the stud.There is a notch at top of the finder to indicate the center point of the stud so you can mark center when the arrow turns green.When trying to find a stud through exterior siding and OSB other stud finders I've tried fail. This finder is able to find studs through the OSB and siding on the exterior of my home.It's compact, fits well in my hand and seems durable, though I just got it, so time will tell.

Bought this to avoid studs/wires/pipes so I can hang shelves in my apartment. This thing is so inaccurate it's ridiculous. It lights up erratically and did not detect a stud behind 1/2 drywall--what a joke!! Even after I drilled the hole and hit solid matter, it did not detect anything behind the hole.Unfortunately I'm using it now after the return window. I've used several stud finders before over the years and this one has to be the most inconsistent and useless I've used.

Was extremely skeptical about it actually working especially considering the price compared to name brand ones. Surprisingly worked better than I thought any one of them would. Actually finds the studs and then shows where the exact center is. Quality product made my job a lot easier with no extra holes guessing where the studs were at.
