Great for preschool aged kid
We got this before we adopted our puppy and our son really enjoyed it. We made copies of the puppy care chart in the book and had fun checking things off as my son helped care for the new dog.

Cute book given to new puppy owners kids
This was cute and helped with excitement for the new puppy owners' kids while they were waiting for their puppy to be old enough to be delivered to them. They enjoyed them and the info is good too.

Super cute kids book
I really loved this kids book, we just got a new puppy and I wanted the kids to have a way to read about and learn about puppy care. This was perfect

Good start
Read the captions to my four year old grandson. I wish it would of had a section on how sharp puppies teeth are and not to pull hard. Otherwise he enjoyed the book.

Good pictures, but too descriptive/specific for 4 Year old
Cute pictures. A little too lengthy for smaller children and too specific. Not all of the situations apply to everyone. I thought it would be more basic and broad; how to take care, how to play, etc. My 4 year old daughter was over it about a page in. The words are far too descriptive for this age. I was really hoping to use this as a tool to prepare her for a new puppy. It randomly goes into dog safety when out in public, which was interesting, but didn’t really fit the title or need in the book I felt. Also, felt like that would make my daughter afraid of dogs. I mean I’m all about realistic teaching, but the book is “how to care for YOUR DOG.”Talks about puppy proofing the home, moving unsafe plants, etc., which was not stuff that I feel like would be the role of my child to do. It is sometimes more geared towards the adult.Maybe 6 and up or even 8 and up. Any younger, I think it’s more just for the coloring aspect.
