Very easy to install, and I really mean it’s easy to install. Works like a charm…every single time. The only thing I don’t like is the engine shuts off when the door is opened.

Super easy to install! I have to be within sight of my car to start it but that’s fine. I just walk to the window and do it. Toyota is annoying since they make the vehicle turn off when you open the door. You can get ones that override that function but it was $200+ more and it’s not that bad of an issue.I installed this watching a YouTube video within a couple hours in my garage. You do have to take apart the entire passenger dash including the airbags but it works great! Make sure you follow a video because there are sooo many screws and bolts to take off so putting it back together was more of a pain then taking it apart.

Works like a charm, easy install. Takes several seconds to start after pressing the lock button “slowly!” for it to start. Shuts the vehicle off once the door is opened, which we think is an awesome feature!I copied the product title and pasted it in YouTube and added install. First video was the one made by Installs and Pitfalls. It includes everything from what’s in the box to reassembly.

Great remote start. No issues installing. Took maybe 30 minutes to install and does everything it says. Unfortunately the car does shut off after opening the door, it’ll still let my vehicle warm up for winter, but a pain in the butt nonetheless. To me, because of that, it shouldn’t be a $200 module.Find a way to fix that, and I’ll gladly make my review a 5 star review as well.

Super easy to install, works great

My husband bought this as a gift for my 4runner because I was always teasing I missed having remote start. He is decently handy but was able to install this relatively quickly. So far it works just fine, and I'm so happy to have a remote start in a vehicle again. If you have a 4runner and are needing one, both myself and my husband would recommend this kit!

The media could not be loaded. Took me a little over an hour to install from start to finish, including not being prepared with the tools I needed then spending time searching through my husband’s garage as my need arose.The video does not detail how to remove the panel in front where the temperature knob is, but I was able to figure it out. You’re also not supplied with the blue tool in the video to pry the caps off the screws in the glove box. It took me a while to find something that would work without damaging the plastic. It also makes it look much easier to remove the interior paneling than it actually is. I was scared I was going to bend or damage the pieces by prying/pulling too hard.Overall though, it was easy enough for a girl that has never worked on a vehicle (I’ve never even changed my own tire) to complete on her own without any assistance.I will advise to read the programming instructions carefully. Lol! I could have been done much quicker if I read ahead and read the order the plugs were supposed to be plugged in. It took me about five tries of just doing without reading before finally getting the order down correctly.Product does what it says it will do. It is a little slow to start the engine, but it eventually does. I’m just happy to have this feature available on this vehicle!
