The ATA-300 Style Flight Case for DJ Controller is manufactured with the Honeycomb Digital™ Protective Finish on Laminated 3/8" plywood. This unique design was inspired in 2009 by the design of New York City Street Manhole covers which are made to handle rough and tough everyday punishment. The heavy-duty construction of this flight case helps prevent minor to mild scratches and is built-to-last. The super-sleek look of Honeycomb Digital™ hexagon grids on all shell surfaces not only looks great but also helps prevent scratches. Additional space for cables and small accessories can be found in the back and underneath the unit for convenience. The removable front panel allows for easy access to the front input jacks and also provides 1U rack space for a small accessory.

Perfect
Looks and feels that is very well done and really protects the equipment, the interior is trustworthy, I haven’t taken out on a flight yet but I will get the job done, definitely you’ll pay overweight but it will be okay since your XZ will arrive goodUpdate: I took it on a flight, the case will protect your equipment 100%

Built extreemly well for your gear
Only thing is i use a deck saver so I had to remove the 4 corners of padding in cover to make it fit -The padding can be cut and trimmed for the decksaver cover and ill reglue it with a strong adheisive ( what ever adheasive you guys used i wish to use the same brand )—— best case ever ❌🕺😎

Well made cases
The case is solid and well built. The ONLY thing I would change on it is the wheels on the bottom.I would much rather have able to stand up on 4 wheels like luggage does than have to lean it to move it around.Although maybe others don’t share that idea with me it’s more of a personal preference.

Too Heavy, Bad Wheel Placement, and Not Practical for Flights
This case is massive! It's bigger and heavier than it looks in photos. If you're thinking about flying with your XDJ-XZ inside this case, think twice.I'm not sure if flight case is an appropriate name for this case. I'll be interested to know if anyone has actually taken their XDJ-XZ to a flight inside this case. If you own or have seen a XDJ-XZ, you know that it is a bulky and heavy DJ controller (28lbs). Place that unit inside a 38lbs case and it's already over the weight limit for many flights, requiring excess luggage fees, etc. While the excess luggage fee may be okay for some, do you really want to fly with your controller inside a case with questionable padding, when these things get tossed around so abusively at airports? I wouldn't.But the case is also too big and bulky to be a regular carry around case for local events. The wheels are positioned awkwardly on one side only, so you have to lean it to roll it. The other annoying issue with this case is that the corners are very pointy. It has already damaged some furniture as I was moving it in the house. It might be okay if you keep it inside a garage or a warehouse. I sort of regret buying this case and will look to unload it locally. Going back, I wish I had purchased a molded hard case such as the one Odyssey makes instead of this one.
