Love this sand!
There was barely any residue when I poured it in and I love the look of this live sand. My perimeters tested great after using this and Reef Salt for my water mix. Recommend!!

Live? After you put it in water and add the bacteria packet.
I thought this would have a bit of ocean water in it containing the bacteria. It comes dry. It may have some bacteria in it but with dry sand I'm not sure what really can survive in a sealed bag. Its good quality sand though. I used 3 bags in my tank and love it. Very fine. Takes a couple days to remove the finer dusty particle but after that it does the job.
