Good rim and tire. Got my scooter back on the road.

I've been using a Gotrax XR Ultra for the past year in NYC, primarily for commuting and running errands. After suffering multiple flats with the pneumatic tires (ALWAYS on the rear one) and either struggling to change them myself or paying a small fortune at shoddy repair shops to have a new tube installed -- I finally did a bit of research and decided to experiment with a solid rear tire. Since there are mysteriously NO "rear solid tire assembly" products marketed specifically for Gotrax (and trying to install one yourself is supposedly even MORE difficult than changing a tube), I determined based on some reviews that this was the closest match. Remarkably, installation could NOT HAVE BEEN EASIER. I simply disconnected the old tire assembly from the scooter, transferred the disc brake to the new solid tire assembly (via the 5 allen head screws which attach the disc brake to the wheel), then reattached the new solid tire assembly to the scooter. Although the allen head screws for the disc break were a bit tricky to thread into the new solid tire assembly (they are a bit loose at first, but will tighten firmly by the end), they ended up fitting fine. Yes, there is a bit of "clicking" now periodically from the wheel which wasn't apparent before and the brakes are a wee bit slower to engage now -- but the overall feel of the ride is extremely similar to what it was previously. Since I'm riding primarily on uneven, rough city streets and bike paths, I really don't notice the difference between the pneumatic and solid tire in terms of smoothness whatsoever. Thus, I'm perfectly willing to suffer a few minor annoyances with the ever-so-slightly imperfect fit in order not to have the MAJOR annoyance of changing another flat tire!

This wheel fits perfectly on my Jetson Knight Scooter! The wheel is very high quality and I'm glad I no longer have to worry about changing tire tubes. Thank you so much!
