Easy to Set Up and Works
Live in a handsfree state and needed a hands free device to or faced possible fines for talking on phone in my older car. I tried a cheap device which sort of worked but no one could understand me nor could I understand them. This synched with my phone on the first call and connects with the phone every time I get in the car. People can understand what I am saying with minimal road noise and without it sounding like I am in an echo chamber. They say I don't sound quite like me when I'm on my phone, but I don't care as long as they can understand me.FYI for those new to using the phone, you can turn the sound dial more than one time around to increase volume. First time using it I thought it only turned once and the sound was too soft to hear. I kept turning until and discovered it still got louder beyond 360 degrees. Very easy to adjust volume while driving, turn off or disconnect call.Only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because cord is a little too short for my car. I can't clamp it to the dash like the directions illustrate because the dash ridge is too big. If I attach it to the sun visor it dangled dangerously around the steering wheel. Finally figured out a way to attach to right side of visor, drape power cord over the back of the rearview mirror support and down the right side to the power socket in the front dash panel. When I want to change the position of the visor, I have to move the device because there is not enough slack in the cord which is a pain. Another very minor complaint is that I can't distinguish what the device says when I turn it on and off. Voice for Power On is indistinguishable for Power Off to my ear.Other than a way to attach it better to all dash panels, I am extremely pleased with device.

A MUST HAVE HANDS FREE SPEAKER
After using a few “SUPPOSE TO BE THE BEST” hands free speaker !!!…..THIS IS BY FAR BEST of THE BESTS….I have (*DROPPED THIS SPEAKER NUMEROUS TIMES*)…..Saying well it ain’t going to (“WORK FOR SURE NOW”), thinking as I picked it back up, (“AMAZING”), HOW I WAS WRONG FOR THINKING OF FAILURE……. I could go on and on about this (SPEAKER)…..One thing I can say (FOR THOSE OF US) WHO SUFFER FROM HEARING LOST……My career, as a (DIESEL ENGINE MECHANIC FOR 29 PLUS YEARS) plus all of those years refusing to wear, (HEARING PROTECTION) to add, not counting using high pitch noise making tools…..(MY STUPIDITY) of course, NOW I WEAR HEARING AIDS. This (SPEAKER) is FAR AND BEYOND, IT IS A (DEFINITE MUST HAVE) if you are like myself and can’t hear…..When going to bed at night, I have it (OPERATIONAL—TURNED ON), lying on night stand, in case of CALLS…HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED……

NO LONGER The bane of my automotive existence... :)
UPDATED 7/31-My original review skewered this device (see below). However, Avantree has been good to work with and willingly replaced what appears to have been a defective device. The replacement no longer suffers from the audio dropouts, and the good qualities (loud, multipoint connections, and volume knob) are still good. I do still occasionally experience a disconnect or two when connected to devices that were rock solid on my now-failing Moto Roadster, and hence I'm upping to 4 stars rather than 5. Ultimately, it's a fair bargain for the price, and it impacts me far less since I've gotten a newer car in the interim (and scaled the older one and this speakerphone) down to my son. He uses it and has reported no issues.ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW (n/a on replacement device so far)I've held off because I really hate writing negative reviews, but I can hold it in no longer. It's entirely possible that I just have a bad individual unit, but I have seldom been so frustrated at a gadget as I have with this one. I bought it to replace an aging Moto Roadster 2 whose battery is starting to become a problem. My intended use case is for the odd en-route conference call but more often for on the road podcast listening in my older car. The Moto has served admirably in that role for years.First the good... The speaker is plenty loud & great for podcast & audiobook listening. It pairs with two devices simultaneously. I like the volume adjustment mechanism. The battery life has been great. Now the problem... None of the above matters if the device doesn't work consistently. No matter what device(s) I have connected, it will randomly disconnect/connect while in use. More frustrating is that while streaming audio, it will simply go silent. It doesn't disconnect and stop then but rather keeps "playing" on the source device. This means that I miss chunks of audio. Sometimes stopping audio on the source and starting again fixes it temporarily. Sometimes I have to dis-/reconnect. Sometimes power cycling works. The one consistent behavior is that it ALWAYS does this on every trip now independent of the source (have tried Galaxy S10 and s10+, iPhone 8, Galaxy Note 9, and LG V35). I lose calls, can't stream audio consistently, and end out endangering lives messing with it. I've resorted to just using the phone's speaker at max volume. I've reset the device entirely and repaired the devices. Nothing fixes it. I considered chucking it out the window, but I need to see if warranty service is possible. The results of that effort will determine whether or not I revise this review. For now, but at your own risk.

Only buy this product ITS THE BEST 10 STARS
Let me begin by saying “I don’t write product reviews,” but recently my 90 yo Dad was in the hospital terminally ill. Mom was sick with COVID so she was unable to be with him. I ended up staying with him. I used my iPhone speaker so they could talk but they had trouble trying to hear. Next day I used my Avantree ck-11 as a BT speaker for them to talk, it was powerful & clear sound. I spent 8 days with him there. I can’t tell you how much time I logged on that device and honestly couldn’t remember the last time it was charged. It’s day 10, we’re home and I’ve been on it constantly with Drs & home care. It still has a charge & is working perfectly. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. This thing is worth 20 times what I paid for it. I’m so happy with it I just might have to buy another one for the car & make a special phone case for this one.

Charging issues
Worked well for a few months, however recently it is not charging properly. I have to keep adjusting the charging port for it to work.
