They don’t tell you the exact synthesis but they tell you exactly what it is, a highly refined white petroleum mineral oil with ether. If you’ve ever used mineral oil, like sewing machine oil or knife honing oil, you know that white mineral oil has some of the best cleaning/solvent like properties while also maintaining a lubricious membrane that soaks in metal and conditions rubber/cork and other synthetic gaskets without over swelling or weakening their elasticity. I be used zmax in several cars. On cars with unknown or poor service history the product can blacken the crankcase oil for first or second oil change interval. But like Aragorn or other flushes it is simply pulli g off built up carbon and sludge and suspending in oil. Never hurts to change oil early if you don’t like the color or smell even in my opinion. Can definitely improve shifting in older or improperly maintained transmissions. Will not correct any actually slipping of the gears themselves. But does correct a lot of torque conversion hesitation and between gear shift flares due to low line pressures by cleaning up valve body passages and solenoids. Couldn’t tell you if it can pull the magnetized ferrous materials off solenoid coils but can help lift particles from valve filter screens. Works best after actual pan drop and filter replacement or full flush/fluid replacement from cooling line. But again keep an eye on color and smell of fluid. Changing fluid is not as scary as everyone makes it out to be. You spend way less on fluid that may be unnecessary than you ever will on necessary transmission rebuild. Which in most cases involve entire refurbish or replacement

So this is a very thin filmed synthetic oil that is designed to penetrate the microfractures in base metals. NASCAR teams heat pistons and other moving parts and spurt this oil on the warmed metal before assembly for better lubrication. It works well and adds a silky feel to moving parts.I recommend.

Z-Max consists of carbon Buckminster fullerines, "Bucky balls". They act like atomic scale ball bearings. They penetrate microscopic cracks in engines and provide a microscopic set of ball bearings that reduce friction and wear to engine parts. I have used it for years in my cars, mowers, chain saws, and lawn tractor. It totally stops engine wear. I mix it with regular oil in a five parts (oil) to one part (Z-Max) as they recommend. I've never had a wear related failure with my equipment. I highly recommend Z=Max to anyone who wants their equipment to last.

I have used zmax for the first time a month ago. I was having dirty injectors and fuel system issues. After adding 12 oz. in the fuel tank I have made major improvement, starting issues are gone. My husband put it in his vehicle which has helped his transmission operate much smoother. Zmax can be added to fuel, transmission, power steering, and engine and it truly has made our vehicles function much better.

I've ordered several quarts of this through the last 4-5 months and treated nearly everything currently in use. Everything runs more smoothly and I've only truly noticed a couple tenths of a mile difference in my car, which I can't necessarily attribute to the Z Max. As a mechanical person, everything is smoother running. There is no question in my mind.I buy the quart bottle because I can read the measurements on the bottle and you get enough to treat everything in 1 bottle. Their formulas are mostly all the same with different color dyes and a fancy bottle and box.I have used Lucas Injector Cleaner in everything with a gas tank for the last 10-12 years and its never let me down. With the addition of this, I think it's a good investment.I plan to check my throttle body and fuel mileage in 6 months for improvements and cleanliness and will further update the review, then.
