Works Great
I ordered this with reservations after reading some of the reviews, but I have found the unit to be easy to use and to function as advertised. My experience with issues identified by others:1. Programing the unit - I found the unit to be fairly easy to set up and navigate through the menu. The key is to read and follow the directions the first few times you use it. After a few times it is pretty intuitive. ( Note: As my grand daughters remind me I am "very, very old". I am not a young computer whizz.)2. Short battery life - The first few times I used it the rechargeable battery seemed to take a long time to fully charge and then drained very quickly. I found that after going through a few charge/discharge cycles these problems went away. Now I just charge it for 1-2 hours before each nightly use and wake in the morning with plenty of power left.3. Analyzing results - The included analysis software is fantastic for visualizing and summarizing results. But this is the part which took the most time to learn ( I waited a few weeks before even trying). In fact it went better than I expected - I didn't even have to call my son-in-law. It took a few attempts to get the mini-CD to fit into my computer DVD slot. But once I got the CD lined up installation of the program was no problem. Running the program was mostly trial and error (instructions were not real clear). Sequence is important. Follow this order: a) Open the program. b) Connect wrist unit to computer with supplied USB cable. c) Turn on wrist unit. d) From the computer program menu, download recorded data from wrist unit to computer. e) Open the desired downloaded data file in the computer program and view results ( Note: To download data from the wrist unit to the computer you must have been previously saved it in the wrist unit using the Record mode from the wrist unit menu. And each time you start a new Record session you will erase the previous data set. But that doesn't matter because if you have downloaded it, it is saved in your computer.Hope this helps people who may be experiencing problems - or are debating whether to purchase. I highly recommend.

Barely legible documentation, website is flagged with warnings, wants to install unsigned drivers
The USB cable had a malformed connector, was missing plastic bits under the pinsThe documentation is written in barely legible chinglishThey direct you to download the software from a website that throws warning flags about a bad security certificate (unknown/untrusted publisher, not just outdated)I was brave and installed the software on a computer that has no internet connection and I could wipe just in case. The installation requires installing unsigned drivers, throwing red warnings in Windows. The device does not connect via the usual bluetooth method, instead the software appears to install a pseudo bluetooth adapter and tries to communicate that way - no surprise it did not find my device after much troubleshooting. The screen on the device displays the live statistics while in use, but the screen turns off after just a few seconds and there is no way to keep the display on. The only way to watch a live feed for more than a few seconds at a time is if you successfully pair the device to your computer via bluetooth, which I was not able to accomplish.I expected a lot better for the money.

EVERYTHING I WANTED
Good alert sound, easy to use, comfortable, upload easy, all info I need, battery charges during upload, auto erase data when uploaded. It took me a while to find one with an alert sound that worked. Customer service guy stayed after quitting to help me the first time i downloaded data.

Terrible device (v2 hardware) that does not deserve its predecessor's reputation.
The whole point of this device is to get data from it, but it is very bad for that.It does not work with MacOS, only Windows. It does not work with OSCAR, you need to import data using the manufacturer's own app "SpO2 Assistant". You must download this app from an insecure website that doesn't even have working https. Did I mention that the app is terrible? It is. Horrendous interface that does not explain anything, one wrong click, and it loses your data with no recovery. It does not show you the data, it saves it somewhere on the desktop. Does it ask where to save the data? No. Does it tell you where it saves the data? Also no, except the first time when it briefly flashes a very long file path, never to be seen again. So where does it save the file? Ten layers deep in a hidden AppData folder, that is literally invisible in the file explorer by default.Previous version of this device, with the same model number CMS-50F, used to work with OSCAR - previously, you could import data directly into OSCAR, even on MacOS. That's why you can read about people using it with OSCAR in many places online. But that's not what they're selling anymore, they're selling "v2" hardware which is almost the same except they decided to break compatibility to force you to install their horrible software from an insecure website. That way if there's a virus or a backdoor in that software, they can avoid responsibility for it by blaming your insecure network connection.I very much regret buying this, Contec does not deserve the reputation that it's coasting on.
