Great sleeping bag
Great sleeping bag very warm. Looking at getting another. I love how compact it is. I don't have to tie it on the outside of my pack like other sleeping bags I can throw it inside and still have plenty of room.

I believe this to be excellent camping gear.
I finally got to use mine. Excellent, 22°F I was warm all night long. It was easy to put back into the sack .

Great bag
I used the recon 3 sleeping bag with a Thermarest Xtherm sleeping pad and Stella tent. I wore the same clothes that I was wearing that night to bed. I felt that was how this bag was designed to be used. At 23 degrees the thermometer read 56 degree between me and the bag. Durning the nite my feet got a little cold and my hands were a little cold. I added my extra thick socks and fingerless gloves and then I was good. This is a well made bag that's durable easy to get in and zip. Remeber if you plan to try this bag down to 23 degrees you will need a good insulated pad. Would I do this again at 23 degrees? No. I'm a cold sleeper and my zero degree bag is way warmer. This is my new go to bag and if temps drop below 30 then I'll reach for my zero.

You will have to wear all your clothes while sleeping in this bag if its cold.
I drive trucks and haul heavy equipment to work on the Rail Road. Usually I stay in hotels if I'm out overnight but, Sometimes I can't make it, or find a hotel. So I have to sleep in the small sleeper compartment on the truck. This bag is perfect for that. Takes up very little room and keeps me warm enough to sleep comfortably. Easily stuffs back in its compression sack for easy storage. I dont know how durable it is but for my use its perfect.

Tiny package, big results
Bring back the zip in mosquito net! Otherwise combine it with a poncho liner and you'll be plenty warm to maybe just below what the temperature that it's rated to. Mine worked in the wet and humid woods of NC while I was in the military to the snow covered mountains in CO. Though it was summer when I used it in CO, it was still in the snow and below freezing at night. This will work, with maybe a slight chill at the feet. Nothing you can't live through if you stay close to its temperature rating and combine it with something similar to a poncho liner if you're worried.I like how it has material inside for wearing with boots for short naps when on the move. The whole bag is durable though. Aside from dropping the zip in mosquito net and moving the zipper to the middle like a hot dog bun, it's still pretty good. I've always loved how packable it is and honestly why I'd bought one years ago. The new version (which this review is for) is the same. Everyone else who had a bag rated to the same temp was having it take up twice as much space. Overall well worth the money. Combine it with a water proofing sack and you're golden.

Comfortable and really warm.
I was very impressed with this product. I'm in the military and hate how the issued sleep system takes up so much space. Is very compact, and it is soft on the inside. The bottom of the bag has a tougher material for boots... I don't really wear boots in it, but it'd be a nice feature if I did. It's very warm, too warm for me often times, so I just leave the zipper open.

This sleeping bag is excellent! I have used this bag down to 26 ...
This sleeping bag is excellent! I have used this bag down to 26 deg f. Literally stand alone. You have to dress properly to use this line of bags. It needs some of your body to maintain inside temp. I literally kicked some brush together and threw it on the ground and climbed in. I also borrowed my bivy from MSS. You can pack both in the supplied stuff sack. It weighs 5lbs. And still packs down extremely small. The bivy will help it to go even colder and pick up an extra 10 deg. So you can get about 16 deg f. No complaints this bag has done everything it claims to do. I'm extremely surprised. The only thing better is the MSS. But that is super bulky even on using bivy and cold bag.
