See some beautiful paint jobs. Parts need painted before assembly but do not paint tabs otherwise you'll be sanding the paint back off the tabs. My kit came without the wax but left-over from other kits. Not only wax where indicated on gears but also it helps to get tabs into slots. Be careful, may need some glue to then keep it together. Many parts are tiny and fragile. The challenge is rewarding but my overall time was about 12 hours.

Instructions are vague, so be careful, and have some crazy glue ready.Very cute when finished, but too fragile for young kids.Just for looks not to play with.I have now put 10 of theses together for Christmas gifts this year. One of the reviews said her grand daughter put this together in 2 1/2 hours. She must me amazing!! It takes me about 8 hours to put one together, however, I learned from the first one that you need to be very careful and sand every part. Also to make it run smoothly you need to wax all the moving parts exceptionally well.

Got too many thoughts in your head? try putting this together, you will learn to concentrate and be delicate and pay more attention to what is in front of you then the things you can’t control around you. ❤️❤️❤️ I spend so much time worrying about everything around me to the point I am over anxious cause I have no other outlet to set it towards. I found that working on THIS, help to stop the cluttered mind. It helps to slow the thoughts down to just what you are working on. Oh and keep some OPPS Preston glue while working on this project. Yea the balsa wood is thin on some parts. Oh and if you have patience and talent- paint the pieces first on the boards before you assemble. I didn’t think of that till after I put it all together, then it’s too late. I’m sure ink pens would work too if you seal the wood first so it doesn’t spread. Penciles will not work 🙁

I purchased as a gift for my teenage daughter. She loved them! If you are a fan of these, you know the drill. They take time to assemble. The wood is thin so be gentle with it. They are expensive but fun. It moves as it is supposed to. It had all the pieces. The quality is good

This is a very pretty kit. That said, not all the pieces fit exactly. Keep Emery boards handy for minor sanding on sharp corners. I particularly had problems with the center column. The diagram wasn't exactly clear but carry on and it will resolve itself later in the build. The motion is kind of choppy and the platform the horses ride on wobbles but to fix this I'd have to take it all apart. Still, it is very pretty and watching how the gears move is fascinating. I might just buy another one to try it again. 😊 Update: Finished this. It's very pretty, but it doesn't go round. Alot of pieces didn't fit well together, so they had to be sanded, then they were too loose and didn't hold together. A disappointment after watching it come together.

This is a VERY fragile build. The pieces fit together well but are extremely breakable. Medium difficultly and super cute, but had to buy another kit to account for all of the broken pieces during the build. Thin and breakable wood on this one.
