Q: How may of these would you need for under running boards? Are they really bright?

You don't need more then two on each side. They are super bright and heavy duty. I have them on my motorcycle and a lot of people comment on how much brighter there are then the little led sticky strips.

Q: Do these get installed in wheel wells with adhesive or screws?

Installed anywhere you want or can reach. Mine didn't reach rear wheel wells so I bought self taping screws and just drilled them up into the front wheel well and under the body. Comes with rubber boots that the lights and wires go nicely onto for impacts or vibrations. They're pretty good tho! Really small and super bright

Q: What size fuse is recommended?

You should always use a fuse. Look at the power draw on the power supply when you get the device and then use the next size fuse up from that. These will most likely need a 5 amp fuse

Q: Best place to mount controller?

I have mine mounted in the truck under steering wheel colum. Keep it dry and away from the elements. It also has the music option so when it's in the vehicle itll detect the bass that makes the lights strobe to the bass.
