Great Little Radio!
This is a great portable radio! It has an extremely bright flashlight built in, as well as a more diffuse lamp for lighting up a wider area. It seems to get good reception, and the small solar panel seems to keep it charged once it is full. It also has a small crank generator that can facilitate a charge. The only minor issue it has is with its emergency siren button. This is located on the back side of the radio, directly under the switches for the lights. I have inadvertently hit this siren button, which is quite startling. Overall, I would recommend this device for those looking for a small, portable radio with emergency functions.

Weather Alerts are clear
The media could not be loaded. NOAA Weather Alert works great. There were 7 WB (Weather Band) preset channels. The channel was at 162.400 MHz and I pulled up the antenna. The weather broadcasts included other states as well as counties and Marine forecasts. Fyi, the loud but SOS loud alert sounds comes on at the beginning of the broadcast. (FYI for small children and pets) This is very helpful in the event of an emergency. The crank works like charm. I was able to immediately hear radio stations.I charged up the radio. It’s perfect the perfect size.Great radio quality.I’m going to buy as gifts for family.

Good Value But Comes With A Lot Of Useless Bling
I live in South Florida where we get our fair share of tropical storms and more than our fair share of hurricanes and power outages so I purchased this radio for just such events. It seems like a pretty solid unit for the money and, at least in my area, gets great reception on AM, FM, and the local weather band. I haven't played with it much but for the few minutes I did, I was unable to get anything in Short Wave mode. Most of the other features are nice, but also pretty useless. Charging the battery to full with either the solar panel or the crank would literally take days, if even possible. At best, they will help the batteries discharge less quickly. The integrated light might be useful if the only thing handy when the power went out was the radio but you're better off with a flashlight or lantern in a power outage and not draining the batteries on the radio. That said, if the radio was handy, you could always use the built-in lights to help find the flashlight or lantern.I can't honestly think of a situation where I'd want to use the alarm. Maybe if there were a fire in the house, everyone else was sleeping, the smoke detectors weren't going off and you wanted to wake everyone up? I can say, if I was being attacked, instead of using the alarm I'd probably just hit the attacker over the head with the radio.Surprisingly, the mini button compass attached to the strap appeared to be pretty accurate but since the radio would give off a magnetic field (I don't know if they still put magnets in the speakers, but even without a magnet, you'd have an EMF field from the electricity). I'd hate to have to rely on it for navigation unless it was to navigate me to a real compass and, even then, I'd take it off the strap and make sure the radio wasn't near it when trying to get a bearing. That said, I'm still giving this thing four stars because if you just need a decent emergency radio at an affordable price and aren't concerned with the other "bells & whistles", this one does a pretty good job.

I needed a new weather radio
It's a cute little radio and all of the features seem to work although I haven't really had a chance to use it yet. The radio comes in very clearly and is easy to tune. The alarm sound is loud and the flashlight is very bright.

Easy to operate and works well.
It is hard to make a choice from pictures. I searched as many possibilities as I could. This is a quality product that I hope never to use, but if I need it there is no doubt it will work. It works well and not complicated. It was a good purchase.
