Great shaving soap
I am new to wetshaving and wanted to try this more expensive brand of shaving soap. It lathers up very well, and it has a great fragrance. It goes on smoothly and the shave feels fantastic. I feel it is one of my favorite shaving soaps. It has lasted quite a long time for the number of shaves I have used it.I'll likely continue to use this brand, along with another favorite Proraso Green.

Excellent shave soap
I'm not a shaving connoisseur but have enjoyed using soaps for the last several years. This is the fifth or sixth brand that I've tried, and, I think, clearly the best. It produces a rich, creamy lather that provides a smooth shave with a pleasant fragrance. I've used it about three weeks as of this writing and look forward to each day's shave. I decided to try Zingari because it is one of the top-tier soaps recommended by sharpologist.com and has almost uniformly excellent reviews here at Amazon. I'm happy to add another. Here are a few things you might find helpful:Lather. Zingari may not lather up as effusively as some other soaps I've used, which I think is a consequence of its producing a higher quality lather. You won't have any trouble getting a good lather, but if it takes you a bit longer, it is well worth the effort.Color. The "Master" scented soap and lather is a light brown color rather than the traditional bright white. Since this is the first Zingari product I've tried, I don't know if that is true of their entire line. You may have a bit more difficulty seeing where you've shaved.Scent. This is a more heavily scented soap than others I've used."Barbershop." The fragrance labeled "The Master" is described as a "dark and spicy barbershop" scent. As a fragrance, "barbershop" means different things to different people. I tend to think of sandalwood. If you dislike sandalwood, this is not the scent for you. If you want pure sandalwood, this is not the scent for you. If you want something more complex and interesting but with a sandalwood accent that lingers, you may really like this scent--as I do!As an aside, if you haven't done so, you might enjoy reading the description of a few of the roughly fifteen fragrances offered at zingariman.com. How do you describe a scent? Zingari does it by telling a story, inviting you to associate the fragrance with an experience and usually a personality. It's creative.

Lathers nicely; great scent; lasts a long time. What more could you want?

All around fantastic shave soap
Heather has really found a great soap base. The Sego base is luxurious and lathers up nicely. It is pretty thirsty and needs a decent amount of water but the result is a rich, smooth lather that has really nice residual slickness. The scent is amazing as well. The Rambler has a very sweet forward scent that reminds me of my great uncle's pipe tabaco but also brings in a nice hay scent once lathered. The scent does "hang" for a little bit but is not really going to last all day. The cost of this is pretty fair I would say as this tub will last you a very long time. I shave 2-3 times per week and I would guess that this will last at least a year. Definitely love this brand and this scent.

Smells decent, poor lather
Product is more fruity smelling than I’d imagined but still nice. However this soap lathers VERY poorly. The design is beautiful and I love having it on my vanity but unfortunately the shaving experience just isn’t as great as I thought it would be from Zingari

Great soap!
Wet shaver for almost 40 years. Mainly straights and old wedge blade / hollow ground blades I can sharpen myself (Rolls, Darwin, AutoStrop, Wilkerson Sword, etc), and an occasional shave with a DE or SE. Ran down the rabbit hole a few years ago with the "Artisan's" soaps, gave up on them due to them not having any better performance than Arko. Sure, they smelled better but I'm not a "grooming" type of guy. Went back to my roots with Arko, Williams (discontinued), Derby etc. Paying less than $5 / year to shave everyday. Well, I bit once more with this soap.Impressed I am (in my best Yoda voice). Even my wife has started using this. Zingari beats (IMHO) all the artisan stuff I've tried (well over 50) with my testing. That's complete three pass shaves using hot first with a straight, a Rolls, and a Darwin. The repeating the order with cold water. Six shaves in all. Killed the lather this morning and did a shavette run. Still worked great. Slick, rinses nicely (including the brush). I don't do a "Residual" because I think (again IMHO) it's a worthless phrase. Post shave is unmatched. Heck, might buy some more scents, and maybe an AS or two.Don't get me wrong, Williams is still my favorite, but only for sentimental reasons and memories of my father teaching me to shave with a straight when I was 14. Only have 8 pucks left...Good job Zingari. From a portly southern Indiana penny pinching shaver.

New to straight razors
Lovely stuff. It might not be ideal (5stars for my particular case) but it’s FAR finer than store bought, worth trying for sure. Scores top notch on smooth lubricant.I’m new to straight razors and this shaving cream provides lovely rich lather in our softened water. However, I’d expect even more lather from a premium shave cream. Smells fresh. Scent is quite bright in my opinion but based on description expected ? Darker ? Notes.

Works great smells great
My wife uses this for shaving with a Leaf safety razor and loves it. She says it allows the razor to glide so smoothly over her skin - no nicks. Even though she uses it in the shower she gets a great lather (especially when compared to other brands that she has tried). I use the same brand for my face and get an even thicker lather outside of the shower. This is currently her favorite scent from this company. It’s fairly unisex but borders more on feminine than masculine since there’s no evergreen or heavy musk in the scent.
