ArmitronMen's Digital Chronograph Resin Strap Watch, 40/8246

I’m not going to say this watch is easy to read. Once you see that it is intentionally dim but readable you realize that this rugged/ very attractive watch is a great value. This watch in fact punches way above its price point. I like Armitron and this is a great example of how well they are made. 17 dollars for this watch? You won’t get better for 50 dollars in my view. This is a typical 4 button Armitron layout and easy to set and forget. Rugged and attractive, love it. The little Casio I bought a week earlier goes to my son because it’s small and lets say “ inexpensive looking”. The dimness aspect of this doesn’t bother me and I CSS. It’s grown on me. I highly recommend this one and it will work great until I can afford a Movado.

I've bought this watch 3 times already. The first resisted a lot in a trip that I've made around my country and at the end I lost it but it was completely fine in very good conditions, the second one I had to give it to my cousin because he knew how resistant and good looking it is and now that I've bought the third one I'm not even thinking in let it go away from me. It sound crazy but it actually is a watch that you will love immediately.

This is a nice watch. For the price you cannot ask for more. The world time is a little confusing at first as it adjust to the time you have set to your location. For example: I am stationed overseas and there is an 8 hour time difference. SO i set the world time to NYC and it said it was 1:00am back home when it should have been 7:00am. So I had to use a different time zone. Not a big deal to me though. The count down time is another thing that is nice. The only con to it is, it will only go up to 60 minutes when I would like it to be days/months. This watch is light weight and is very sporty looking. I would recommend it to anyone who is hard on watches. It looks like it can stand up to tough times and I will be putting it through these!

Great time piece for great price

I got this watch to use during sports events that I officiate. I immediately noticed that the face was incredibly hard to read in normal lighting, When I pressed the light button, it changed very little. In fact, it was hardly noticeable. Time, date, and other functions were working so I checked the instrcution sheet. It says if the face is dim, it may need a new battery. IT'S BRAND NEW!!! I will change out the battery and hope it works better. If not it was a total waste of money.

I love this watch, I have purchased it four times in three years and will buy more. I work outdoors for 12 hours at a time in desert, mountain and in aquatic conditions, this watch out lived many others.The watch face displays day of the week and calendar day very prominently with time, a feature I really looked for. I do not like Velcro or leather watchbands, the rubber on this very easy to clean and maintain. I also like the retention loop that keeps the adjustment band in place. It is notched in the back and fits very snug, feels secure while doing active things. It's very easy to read in daylight, and the backlight looks great too.One more note, although I use this watch in outdoor settings, it actually looks very sleek enough to wear in an office setting. I call this a budget G-shock and I get compliments on it pretty regularly.

It's a good price, it looks good, but if you can't read it, what's the point. Can't really read it when it's dark, or when light is directly on it- so basically any time of the day. :P

The watch is a known brand name watch and is rugged enouph to withstand normal daily use and them some.It's a good looking watch and water proof to a depth of over 300', and is a light watch, and inexpensive for the value.However, I have one gripe about the watch, I can not read it in a normaly lit room, with out using the light mode.Negative screens are really not necessary even with a military style watch which is what this particular watch that I purchased is advertised as.With the use of night vision and or infrared technology, flir technology it's not going to matter much whether your watch screen is a positive or negative one.Other than this one gripe, the watch over all is a good and decent functioning time peice.I was aware that this watch had a negative screen, but had liked it, so I purchased it regardless.
