UV Mineral Lamp 8W 254nm UVC Shortwave Battery Powered/DC in with Visible Light Filter (AI-4UV21M 8W UV Lamp)

I have had this device about 10 months now and let me tell ya. I’m impressed they claim it only get 7 hours per charge. But I haven’t charged it once in 10 months and still working. Feels sturdy, it’s bright, works really well for my geodes. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but most of them are in this market it’s an expensive hobby. Had a missing charger and customer service replied within an hour and sent out a new charger the next day. Highly recommend.

I bought my PPE - Amber goggles and gloves. I was so excited to see my rocks under the shortwave light. It's a bit pricey, but you have to take into account that it is rechargeable and has a handy case to take with you if you're out looking for awesome rocks. I bought my rocks, but I can't wait to go out in the spring and see what will light up more then my longwave light. It's an amazing sight. Hope the photo does them justice.

It worked well while it lasted (about 5 minutes of total viewing time). The last time I tried it was totally dead. Very disappointing considering the cost

I had an inexpensive 254 uv lamp I was using in my display and it was very difficult to see the fluorescence in daylight or from any distance farther than 5 inches.This lamp is amazing. Minerals that I thought didn’t fluoresce or had very little response, are glowing magnificently.Minerals are also displaying phosphorescence that hadn’t before.

It appears this may be able to be ran while plugged in (charging socket is garbage, not sure if I can prove that yet) but it pales in comparison to my existing handheld. It works, but for the price, size, weight, and all the warnings about parts that won't last, it'll probably get returned. I'll give it a few days to see if I can find any redeemable qualities. ***it comes with a spare power switch and instructions on how to change it, because apparently they didn't engineer that part to survive

This is more than perfect product .. It even comes with hard carrying bag and spare switches! Read the manual carefully and don't forget to use safety glasses. This is not my first short wave uv light .. But definitely THE BEST !More to say I contacted the seller before and after purchasing and they were very cooperative.

I love this lamp. It is bright enough to observe the fluorescence of most of my fluorescent rocks without being in total darkness. And it is rechargeable!

The shortwave UVC light works perfectly for identifying chert sources. The light is bright and lightweight enough to hold for extended periods. No lightbox needed - just a dark-ish room will do.
