Hebrew Insights from Revelation (All Books by Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg Book 1)

I enjoyed reading this refreshing and interesting approach to the Book of Revelation. It's a good way to get closer to both the text and the author of Revelation by setting out key points of the first century Jewish context of the book. Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg does this in a very clear and accessible way. Many of us feel drawn to the Book of Revelation yet are mystified by it; and unhelpfully, there does seem to be rather a lot of exaggerated and overwrought interpretation out there which can make me feel more confused, or give me answers that seem a bit too "added on" and neat and tidy. Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg's book is an antidote to this and cuts through it all. It's a great way to look again at the Book of Revelation and begin to let it speak to me more as the writer intended. It helps me to start asking better questions about this wonderful New Testament book and think about it without the baggage that has been laid on it. I can only benefit from understanding more about the Jewish context of the first followers of Jesus. I especially enjoyed the writings on the meaning of certain Hebrew words and the connections of the Book of Revelation to the writings of the Prophets and other books of the Hebrew Bible. I am very grateful for this book.

I purchased this because the advert asked the question ‘is the vaccine the mark of the beast’. This book, whilst slightly interesting, delivers nothing much I didn’t already know. So if you are interested i. Finding out about the vaccine with regard to the mark, don’t purchase

Really enjoying this book. Getting the same excitement as I would tracing my family tree. Knowing more about my Jewish roots helps me understand Christianity and the Word of God so much more

Thought it gave great insight to the literal understanding of the book of Revelations, especially coming from someone well versed in Hebrew literature.
