Hive Thermostat for Heating control (Combi Boiler and Multizone) without Hive Hub

Our hallway thermostat was damaged in a property we moved into. After much research I found I was able to simply buy this product and follow a simple pairing process to replace the faulty unit.The thermostat is really easy to set up, looks nice and does exactly what we need it to without any monthly subscriptions.Functions include daily programming, boost and holiday mode. All with him a few button pushes.The unit can be removed from the wall cradle and placed around the house to suit your needs.I would buy this product again if we moved home.

This is a great little device. I bought it as my old thermostat was really temperamental and powered off when I tried to adjust it. This just works, I had someone fit it which cost £40. Well worth it, I now have the house at the temp I want and can boost or reduce as needed.

Replaced an old Honeywell wireless thermostat. The hardest part was wiring the receiver to the boiler. Found instructions on the net which made it quite simple. The rest of the setup was straightforward with hive. Makes life so much easier being able to control the heating away from home

Control the Heating & Hot Water in your home remotely from anywhere. Appearance is satisfying with clear controls. Size fits onto your standard single socket wall box or easily mountable on wall.Performance is good once you get it connected to the App properly. I am decent at installing new tec but this proved very frustrating to say the least and took considerable more time than it should even though I followed instructions to the letter. Read the app reviews (which I didn’t first) to get an understanding of some of the issues.Having said that, now that I have it connected I am very pleased with the control I have.

I thought setting it up would be tricky - but it was very easy. Works just like the one that had died - but it was over 7 years old!

Good price for Thermostat and Receiver with installation by a professional available if needed. I only needed the series 3 thermostat, and thought that was what I had ordered, as was replacing an existing series 2 thermostat that had finally failed after several years. Before failing, the old series 2 unit had the known problem of eating batteries for the last few years - the last set drained in 4 days before it would not restart at all with new batteries. If you see this with any Hive unit claim under guarantee for a new one - batteries should last months and months not a few weeks.As I was not replacing the receiver, just upgrading, I was able to follow instructions found on the internet and connect the newer series 3 to the Hub and Receiver and have the system up and running in 15 minutes. I then used the iPhone App to set a schedule.We have been using Hive since series 1, without the extra paid subscription, - so obviously think these are great.
