Cygolite Metro 700 Lumen Headlight and Hotshot 100 Lumen Tail Light USB Rechargeable Bike Light Combo Set , Black / Red

The light combo is great for my early morning ride from my home on residential streets to my local riverfront trail.The light mounts are well made and haven't given me any problems. The light's lock/release tab is plastic, so using common sense and going easy on them will prevent any damage.Both the front/rear lights use a USB Mini-B port to charge them with the included charging cable. Some people complain that it's an outdated USB, but I found that my extended length USB Mini-B charging cable that was originally for my PS3 controllers also works great to charge my lights. The charge time / run times in various modes listed on the packaging seem to be accurate.After about 1.5 years of use, I noticed that my headlight mount's rubber gasket that wraps around my bike's handlebar had begun to tear. I contacted Cygolite via email about this issue and they quickly shipped me a totally redesigned gasket (that fixed the previous design issue) for my headlight mount at no cost to me! I've been cycling in the dark hours multiple times a week for years. I've used 4-5 different headlights and tai-lights. This set is nearly PERFECT.The Hotshot 100 taillight has a VERY BRIGHT flash, visible for well over 1//2 mile, even in the daytime, in flashing mode the battery last for a very long time, it has never failed me, 6+ hour rides, still flashing. Simply a great taillight.The Metro 700 had me a little concerned that it was "only" 700 lumens, but they have done such a good job with the lens to control the light so well that it out performs the "1200 lumen" light I had in the past. At full brightness I am comfortable descending a winding canyon road at 30+MPH. Medium brightness is more than adequate for normal road riding. It's daytime flashing mode is plenty bright to let traffic know you are there in the daytime as well.I run these lights day and night on all my rides to be seen, and at night the headlight is GREAT to see. For a night ride on a mountain bike a brighter light may be preferred, but for the price these two make a perfect setup for your bike.Oh and not having to replace batteries, just plug them in for a couple of hours to charge in preparation for your ride is very convenient.

Awesome light! Powerful, compact, light weight, stays put, bright. Charges relatively quickly. Seemed like full charge within 90 minutes or so. Have not charged from a fully empty battery yet though. Purchased first combo three years ago. Recently purchased this in 700 lumens. Now my daughter and I can both take night rides. Detaches easily enough, but not without a little effort, so it actually does stay on very well over very rough MTB single track and downhill terrain. Handy enough to use as a flashlight for camping or around the house and yard. Very very bright. Love the dimmable settings and flashing modes.Came as a combo pack with tail light. Red tail light is bright at night and catches the eye during daylight hours. Stay visible my friends. Stay legal. Stay safe.

All and all this is a very customizable light setup that is a great value for customers needing both a headlight and a tail light. Cyglite got my business because they had a good bike rack mount which many bicycle commuters like myself utilize. In general, I have no reason why not to purchase this product but I wanted to share my 2 cents on possible improvements.First, I do agree with others that the tail light is overly complex and for commuters, a 'less is more' approach would be better. It's just very easy to hit the wrong button when turning the light on and off when you have gloves.The other issue is much more subjective, and that is I would prefer that both of these units used a USB Micro port for charging instead of the current USB Mini port. It just seems like USB Micro is much more commonly utilized these days for charging devices.

These lights are BRIGHT. I feel very safe riding at night with these shining. They have good battery life. I never have to worry about them dying on me as long as I remember to charge them

I like the brightness of this light, but after 2 months of light use, the rear light no longer holds its charge sufficiently (while off). The entire battery drains within a couple weeks of non-use. Disappointed about a highly-rated product. Would like to get an exchange or refund.General review:likes:- brightness of both lights. Availability of multiple flashing modes.dislikes:- charging with microUSB is outdated, not compatible with most available charging cables in use today- mounting system for rear could have been easier (silicone band instead of tools required for attachment).- front light mounts onto the handlebar are a bit small, so doesn't fit the location on my road bike handlebar where I would have liked to mount it

Bought another set for my second bike just to save the (few) minutes swapping mounts back and forth between bikes. Also like being able to clip the tail light to my camelback for evening walks. The headlight slips easilly into a pocket, too, and makes for a super flashlight in a pinch. Original set going on 4 years without a problem.

Great combo cycling lights. So great, purchased 2. Only issue is that requires mini-b connector. Would like to see update to USB C for more future proof/universal compatibility.

I have three cygolite sets, 400, 700 and 800 headlight and the brighter the better. I also have olight 1500 and it is super bright but the mount is terrible.

Si lo encuentras en oferta, es buen kit. Lo malo es la lámpara delantera. Su luz es algo baja y la batería no rinde como debe

The lights are super bright and the batteries last for a long time. Well worth the price.
