Used this Mercer blade on my Old 10"x 5/8" bore Makita metal chop saw.
I was tired of all the abrasive sparks and dust in my Garage from my old Makita metal chop saw. So, I removed the abrasive style 10" x 5/8 bore blade. Then installed this new 9"x 1" bore Mercer blade and added a 5/8" to 1" bore shaft adapter. The max RPM on my Makita is 3800 RPM's. Given that the max RPM specs on this new Mercer is 5800, it appears I have some safety margin to spare. This new blade cuts like butter on my old Makita. I am incredibly pleased I did not need to spend hundreds of dollars on a new metal shop saw.
