Helpful book...but.
I wish this author had a question and answer website. After reading I had some questions ut could not find any way to communicate with her. A Facebook page would be great so we can learn from each other.

This was an interesting book to read. It has many easy recipes to try. It is well organized and easy to follow.

Great recipes and information
Thoughts: As someone with IBS, I found this book more helpful than many of the books I’ve read. The author gives you an overview of what IBS is and the triggers—FODMAPs, food sensitivities, intolerances, allergies, Celiac disease, stress, and more. She walks you through a 30-day FODMAP elimination diet plan with meals, charts, shopping lists. In Part II, there are healing recipes that include prep and cook times, clear ingredients and directions, substitutions, and (YAY), nutritional information. There are a lot of amazing recipes here. I can’t wait to get my hard copy instead of the electronic version I received in order to try them out. These are actually recipes I can eat! (Mostly). The resources at the end include websites and companies that are useful for this type of eating.Recommendation: If you have IBS or have been told you need to use a low FODMAP diet, get this book! Wonderful cookbook and so easy to follow!
The Complete IBS Diet Plan is a keeper! It is easy to understand with step-by-step meal plans and instructions that makes eating this way so simple and straightforward. I loved the what to lose and what to choose section of the book that highlights low and high FODMAP foods. I also really like the meal plan section which was beautifully displayed and had so many details, including shopping lists! I am personally not doing an IBS diet so I have been trying recipes here and there, but let me tell you, if you were doing the diet, this is a fabulous resource to start with!My favorite recipes that I have tried so far include the vegetable hash, sweet potato smoothie, and the fresh-cut salsa, SO good! I have a lot of friends and family who need a low-FODMAP diet and I haven't already recommended this book to them.*I received an advanced review copy of this book.

What a TERRIFIC Book!
The author of this book knows what she's talking about. She thoroughly explains what the various causes of IBS are and then goes on to explain how to avoid and/or relieve symptoms. Many of us are plagued by IBS but for many different reasons. Amanda Foote explains all of this in this book... laying out the symptoms, causes, triggers, etc.... and then goes on to explain (in layman's terms) what you need to do in order to find out what your specific triggers are. From there, she lists foods that will work for your specific needs. I LOVE this book and I'm thrilled that I was provided with an advance copy of the book to review from the publisher. Anyone with IBS should read this book!
