The only issue is that these are the 2nd pair I have gone through in the last 7 months, and the padding wore out quickly, so I need to buy a new pair to fully protect my knees. But overall its comfortable and l liked it enough to order again.

These knee pads are perfect for my use as an adult dodgeball player. Our knees just aren’t what they used to be, and these provide adequate protection, as well as confidence that I can drop to make a catch or dodge a ball. These pads are thin, but plenty protective. I’m a thin 4’11 woman and the extra small/small size is just right for me. If you’re not sure, definitely get the medium. Although these are brand new, I’m finding that the fabric is already starting to pill, which is mainly why I won’t give these 5 stars. I’m concerned that they’re not stable enough to last years and years after just a few hours of wear. I would not use these to skate, as any fall on asphalt would wreck the fabric. For a hard gymnasium floor, you can’t go wrong. Any knee pad is a little uncomfortable, but these aren’t bad as far as that goes, and they only ride up or down a little bit. Plus, they make me look super athletic.

This is indeed helpful for my basketball-playing daughter, who is eight and a half years old. She weighs 55 lbs, but even in the smallest size, there's still a slight looseness.
