Abstract Shadows
The game scene is far more exciting than it was when I was a child. There are now far more games to choose from and new ones are being invented weekly. On first glance I thought that 'Silhouetters' was going to be a 'Boggle' alternative, but although it has some similar looking cards it is a different game. The idea is not to compare cards but view the silhouettes and shout out what you think they are. You can only use the three letters that appear after a dice role. What makes the game interesting is that the images are open to interpretation. One person may see a stadium, the other a stage. If the letter is S, they are both right. The game is fun and frantic, best played with a developed vocabulary, it is ideal for an extended family with adults and older children. The game is all housed in a small and portable box. The instructions are written on the inside of the lid, these can be a little hard to read.

Good idea but cards small and not always clear.
I initially thought thevgame would be interesting and suitable for a wide age range but the picture cards are quite small and itβs not easy to identify quite a few items. (The image above is taken on a one-inch grid so you can judge the size.) I think the cards are more suited to older children although I doubt if it would hold their interest for very long. A good idea but probably a mismatch between the age that would find it interesting (5-9yrs ) and the cards/presentation, which is more appropriate for secondary ages. Having the egg timer included is a nice touch, and having the stickers to put on the dice according to the language you choose to use is also a lovely idea. Ifvthe cards were larger and the images clearer this would definitely be five stars.

Weak game
I have played other card games that involve matching or saying what you see, but this one is just too open ended. For me, the game just feels a little vague and pointless.

Silhouette vocabulary game.
This is a reasonable quality game, for 2-6 players ideally, but you could team up if you have more. The only initial issue I have is that the cards are quite small and you can't always see what some of the smaller silhouettes are.The idea of the game is simple, to roll the three dice and identify silhouettes which begin with any of your three letters. An example would be you have the letter G, you see a ghost and someone else sees a ghoul... both start with a G and mean the same thing, so you are both correct. It isn't the most suitable game for young children, as you need to have a good range of vocabulary, although you could use the game to help younger children expand theirs. It is a fast paced game, which can be quite competitive.
