Incredible Book About Direct Response Marketing
I purchased a copy of this book since it is one of the few about the infomercial world, and I was blown away with how enjoyable the book, in addition to being an incredible resource about direct response marketing. You'll pick up a ton of great ideas while enjoying a really interesting story about the rise of the Thighmaster. It also includes a lot of history about the industry. It's not a long book, and it's an easy read, which means it's perfect re-reading material to get all the marketing and business lessons out of it that you possibly can. This is one of my top recommendations, without a doubt.

entertaining and educational
I got this book based on a recommendation from another book (The 4 hour Work Week - which is excellent). The description of how the industry developed as well as what they had to go through to make the Thigh Master successful was great. It's an easy read, entertaining and keep you involved in the story. It also gave you insight into obstacles that I never would have even considered.I recommend it to anyone who's in retail businesses and trying to mass market a product or products.

Great book for any entrepreneur
"This Business has Legs" is a very fun must read for any entrepreneur. It provides great information about the infomercial business but also very solid information about business in general. The writer Peter Biehler is a great writer and he takes the reader on a two year journey of his life while the Thighmaster Exerciser craze had taken America by storm. I have read the book twice and just love it. Reads quick and SUPER writing. The book is a real business classic.

Good but outdated
This is a good book on the infomercial industry but a little too old and outdated for 2010.

Good Marketing Training.
An excellent, and entertaining book by a smart entrepreneur. The only problem is whether it is still current to market conditions 15 years later. Recommended.

helpful book
Even though the book is somewhat dated, it gives great insight as to the length and price it takes to get a product to market. It also explains how the system works. I wish I had read the book before I had my product made. I probably wouldn't have a warehouse full of pieces I can't sell. Very much worth reading if you're thinking of going it alone.

Easy read and you get to see inside the infomercial industry
I really like this book. It was an easy read that had me smiling at times. It also tells his story about his successes and his failures and the workings of both.
