Delicious, smooth, just right licorice- not overpowering, so you want to keep eating.It took a while to arrive, but it's coming to Hawaii from England, so I didn't feel impatient. I have a recipe for licorice ice cream that recommended Callard licorice, a company that doesn't exist anymore and everyone said this is quite similar. (I wouldn't know) I do like licorice, and am curious about the ice cream. Recipe says "ice cream is a strangely grey color that might intimidate some people". She goes on to say; "It's good to serve people intimidating food once in awhile, it makes them remember you." Well, Walkers licorice toffy is delicious; even without intimidation, I will remember it. (Here's several ice creams, grey one is licorice, very nice, made in a custard, with 3 oz of licorice toffee to a 2 egg custard for less than 2 pts)

These taste almost exactly like the old Callard & Bowser licorice toffees which are no longer made. Glad I found these!

If you like 'real' licorice you will like these. These are not fake tasting, but traditional English sweets. Not just molasses and aniseed with corn syrup but genuine licorice flavour. Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Sweetened Condensed Milk (whole milk, sugar) 21%, Vegetable Oil (Sustainable Palm, Palm Kernel), Black Treacle 5%, Colour (Vegetable Carbon), Liquorice Extract 0.7%, Salt, Emulsifiers (Glyceryl Monostearate, Soya Lecithin), Oil of Aniseed.

They are soft without being overly sticky and have a great taste. An A+ sale I won't hesitate to repeat.
