Nice product but chipped

Quality is good. Color is good and it’s sturdy. I am based outside India and ordered this product to be shipped to a friend. I’ve got the product now and the marble is chipped from the side. It can’t be chipped during travel as it was kept in the original packing and safe with clothes in the suitcase. Any idea if this is normal as I don’t want to keep a chipper product
