Great for Tall People! Can be Used In Other Areas of the Home
My partner is tall so I imagine most tall individuals like him, probably understand quite well, that finding medical equipment that is accommodating is particularly hard to find. I was really pleased when I found this chair. He has Parkinson’s and finds it hard to balance for long, while showering. This chair is perfect. It allows him to safely sit. He is able to shower without assistance (using a handheld sprayer), which keeps him more independent which also helps with his mental health. The padded seat is comfortable and easy to clean. The arms are removable, which is good for us because the seat is too narrow for him with the arms attached (he is a big guy). The legs do splay out on the bottom which is a problem for us. We have one of those prefab showers with the built in seats (that are made for people with the height and butt size of a five year old). This limits the actual floor space of the shower. The chair being talker, If the legs were not splayed the chair would be unstable. Until we can afford a remodel it is something we will have to deal with. This chair has been a huge help safety wise. This same company makes a tall chair that has a seat that swivels. On that one you can raise the arms up without actually having to remove them. I love the swivel feature and should we ever get the bathroom remodel I may consider purchasing the swivel seat to replace this one. But for now there is no room in our current shower to use the swivel feature and it is $100 more. If we hadn’t found a nice bar height captains swivel chair at a local thrift store I would seriously consider getting the swivel shower chair for the kitchen. That thrift store chair has been a God send. If you can afford it I would recommend buying one of these for use in other areas of the house besides just the shower. If it had a wider seat (with arms attached) I would purchase another to put by the door for donning and doffing boots and shoes as he would need the arms installed for this (and this chair is just too narrow for him with arms attached). I am considering purchasing a chair like some doctors have in their offices for tall people (wish more doctors had them) to put near the door for removing shoes and boots.

Great shower stool!
My husband is extremely pleased with the stool. His legs are comfortable, and it doesn't slip around. He loves having the arms to help him get up, and the seat and back are very comfortable. Wish we had known about it a long time ago.

Great for tall folks
My dad is about 6'3" and in assisted living. Their built in shower chair is too short for him by a mile. All standard shower chairs I can find on the market are max 21.5" tall at the seat- not even 2'. This one is much taller, and will work great for my dad. I like that it has arms so he can push up off it as well. He has a hard time getting up out of low chairs, especially without arms. Seems very cushy in the seat, and much more comfortable than the standard hard plastic shower chairs. At 85 years old, comfort is important. Glad I found this. It is quite spendy compared to a standard shower chair, but worth it for the right circumstances.

Supper durable seat and soft
Nice wish the legs were a bit more together…hard to make right in curved tub, but works

Lots of adjustment; very solid
Wanted a higher chair than the 18" tile ledge / seat in the existing shower. Also grab bars on the side to ease getting up. All the shower chairs I could find were 21" high. This one was actually too high, at the highest adjustment, for each my 6'2" frame. But could easily drop it down in 1/2" increments.Better yet, I wanted to cut off the back legs so the chair back half could site on the existing 18" high tile seat. The 21" high chairs all had less than 18" clearance underneath. This one had plenty of clearance if the seat is kept higher than 21". As it turns out, I could take off the two back leg extensions, change the rubber caps to the stubby back legs, and it fit perfectly for the height I needed. No cutting or adjusting to fit. Lucked out. They are aluminum legs so should have been easy to cut.

Very good product
Assembly was easy. Stable chair that is being used for after surgery to sit and hold on to getting in and out of shower.

SCREWS COME LOOSE
While this chair was very easy to assemble, and was assembled correctly, the screws come out. Luckily, I noticed a screw on the floor, and when I turned the chair over, another screw was also missing. This could have resulted in a disastrous fall for my 91-year-old mother. The chair works perfectly for my mom in the kitchen, so we decided to just periodically check the tightness of the screws.

Works well for my hip before surgery. Wish I had it years ago!!
The chair is similar to what you see in an orthapedic office for hip patients. I've struggled with pain for about 8 years trying to convince myself I don't need surgery. No chairs work until this one. Trust me. It really is different and I'm shocked I never found anything like it until I scheduled my surgery. I do think the chair is very overpriced as the light material could not possibly be that expensive. I think it's very similar to chairs that are about 130 less. Since I could not find any other chairs for hips I got it. It was around $170 and I find that ridiculous but with surgery coming up I needed lots of things to prepare and for afterwards. It does help. Wish I could afford 3 of them!!
