This new addition is awesome!
Got this tripod head for a double use. For glassing while hunting out west here in AZ, and for filming hunts of my monopod. Super lightweight, so it’s going to travel easily on my pack. Everything locks in place like it should and pans how it should easily. It’s going to really add great stability for both uses. Got it all rigged up and this going to be one of my new favorite accessories for some time! Great value and cost and fit my monopod great. Will be buying more in the future. One con is that if your not familiar with tripod heads there are no instructions but pretty straight forward even if you aren’t.

Super smooth, compact, useful!
I already have several tripods for still photography. I didn't want to buy even another one, but I needed a good pan tilt head for video. I use a Canon 5Dmk4 and a Canon XA 70 for video so I needed something that could handle those, but I don't need a huge rig. This little head is great, as it coms with a 1/4" and 3/8" adapter and can fit on all common tripods and other photo fittings. It is compact, but very smooth and seems to have a good high quality build. Due to its size, I can take it with me even when I am packing light. The price is right, and I highly recommend it!

Better than a ball head
Smooth. Easy to install. My tripod base had a 3/8" thread, so it went right on. Solid, and stays where you put it, unlike the SmallRig ball head I replaced. Shows an allen wrench, but it comes with a flat metal "wrench" for putting the 3/8" thread in to use a 1/4" thread instead. the "wrench" is shown in the photo I posted.

Good. Panning is sticky
Good, but not the "silky smooth panning" as described. The initial movement when panning is sticky. Doesn't offer the ease-in ease-out some might be looking for. I'd give 5 star if Ulanzi didn't talk up the smooth panning that is lacking. The tilt is actually great though. It's pretty smooth and has this feature where it will offer resistance when tilting to its extremes. I wasn't sure about this at first but it does actually help to counteract the weight of the camera. The design and build quality are to the high standards I expect from Ulanzi.Overall, it's a great and reliable product but makes for a better stationary head. Cinema panning will be rough.

Incredibly solid little head
This is absolutely fantastic for smaller cameras. It's all metal! The build quality is incredible for an item of this price. The action on it is smooth and it feels solid. I bought one for my church as well.Note that this is a mini head. I probably wouldn't put a DSLR type camera on it unless it was a smaller Rebel type.I only wish I could order additional plates for it. That's its only downside.

Didn't live up to my expectations
This head is of average quality and can be used by amateurs on a budget, but it is not suitable for serious work, as there are a number of drawbacks.1. Terrible panning:If tilt is even more or less workable, then panning is by no means good. It moves too freely and there is no smoothness, if you tighten the pan knob more tightly, then when panning it is automatically tightened to the end. I have a Manfrotto MVA500AH head, panning there is a miracle. You can't even compare. But Manfrotto is 3 times more expensive2. Can't change camera battery:The knobs prevent changing the camera battery. In order to replace the battery, you need to first remove the camera from the area, replace the battery and reattach. It is very uncomfortable.3. Poor design of the quick release plate:In the picture, on the right is the original platform, and on the left is Falcam F38, also from Ulanzi. And both fit this head as the base size is the same, but the F38 is much better. First, to tighten/loosen the original quick release plate, you need to turn the knob almost 5 turns, and with F38 only 1/4 turn. The bad thing is that anti-sliding protection does not work on this base plate for F38. This is only on the native base plate Ф38. Why doesn't a manufacturer make all its products to the same standard? Here I already have 6 accessories that I use with F38. The only good news is that the F38 base plate itself is also compatible with this head, but it would be much better if there was a F38 standard so that you could immediately mount the camera to the base. Conclusion:This head is more suitable for travelers who do not want to carry huge heads with them in a backpack, but for serious work, especially for videographers, it is better to look at something more serious

Smooth Pan
This head is small, but well made and works great. The vertical and horizontal action is smooth. The locks are secure. I like the fluid motion for panning. Excellent product.

This thing is a beast!
I was a little worried, being a small size it wouldn’t be sturdy enough for the different cameras and lenses I use, but this thing has performed incredibly well! The fluidness of the head, sturdiness, and the massively small size make this perfect for my monopod. And the small size allow me to know I’ll put my mono pod on the side of my camera bag. No problem. Will definitely be purchasing more in the future.!
