Mens Women Fishing Hat UPF 50+ Wide Brim Sun Hat with Face Cover & Neck Flap

I saw a lady has something like this on our vacation to Japan. Do when I got home I ordered one right away to wear while gardening in the heat of Alabama. I already have a hat with netting to keep insects away but not as good against the sun on my neck and face.This is better than I expected. I was worried it would be hard to breath but the mouth area has a mesh - breathable area over nose to my chin. There are also mesh vent holes on the top of the hat and the front flap is removable. I do wish the snap under the hat attaching the front flap had another inch of fabric. If you don’t pull the hat down enough then the front flap hits your eyes - need to keep the cinch strap over the flap and under the chin to keep it for riding up. I still gave it 5 stars because I was so happy over the mesh vents. The material is nice and thin looks washable - wetting helps me stay cooler.

This hat does everything it claims!! Beautifully sewn, excellent water repel, also dries very quickly!! Doesn't fit tiny heads well, so if you've got a tiny pea-head (like me) it's going to be a little large (for me that's easy to remedy with a couple hem tacks).

I love this hat. It’s really comfortable to wear and does a great job shielding my face from the sun. Perfect for outdoor activities without worrying about sunburn. I’d definitely buy it again!

I took one star off because the chin strap came broken. The detachable chin strap has plastic hooks that clip onto the underside of the hat; no big deal though, I'll just sew on both sides of the chin strap. The hat itself is very light weight. It has a wide brim to keep the sun out of your eyes and off your face. There is a piece of cloth at the back of the hat (non-detachable) that covers the back of your neck. There is an elastic band at the back to allow for sizing. To size down there is a little plastic piece you pull to cinch it tighter to your head. I feel like if you didn't have the chin strap, this might easily blow off your head, IF you have a smaller head, because the cincher in the back doesn't cinch that well. The front face covering is detachable, there are little plastic buttons that clip together to attach it to the underside of hat and back neck cover. I'd be careful removing/attaching the face cover from the buttons, they seem kind of fragile, so if you're too rough with them they might break. I have long hair, and although it doesn't have a hole to put a ponytail through, as long as you place your ponytail a little lower on your head, it won't cause problems wearing it.I dont feel like this would be a good hat for anything heavy duty, like if you were doing contruction work or hiking for days at a time, just good enough for you to do some summmer gardening, or use at outside gatherings like picnics or a concert. Overall, for the price it's a good enough hat.

This hat is fabulous. I got it so I have extra sun protection on the back of my neck when outdoors and have the option of covering the face as well. The brim is quite wide, so it gives more shade in the front than most hats. That being said, the brim is almost too wide! It's fine while you're outside and not near things, but if you find yourself leaning in to something, say you forget you have the hat on and lean down to look in your fridge, you'll bonk the brim of the hat. I have used it with the front flap on and off and either way is comfortable. There is an under the chin string tie as well, so you can make sure the hat stays secure, which is definitely necessary when it's windy. There is also a pull at the back of the hat that can be used to tighten it a bit, although I can't tell if that actually helped keep the hat any more secure. The only issue I've had is that it can be a little difficult to snap on or unsnap the front flap. So if you wear it into a store, it can be a hassle to try to remove the flap in order to not look like you're covering your face for nefarious reasons. Maybe don't wear it into a bank, or else be prepared to take the entire hat off.
