Verified Working on 2010 Avalanche
Worked 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche LTKey - put old key in for 5 seconds turned to the second to last position clockwise then remove it and do the same with the new key and remove it. Then it should start up with the new key after you remove it and put it right back in.

No DIY process for relearning the Key on for a 2011 Silverado 2500
I bought the keys and fob for my 2011 Silverado 2500. I can’t use them because my truck doesn’t have a reprogram function for the fob. Seems I have to get a locksmith anyway.
