Introduction to Electrodynamics

Pleasantly entertaining and to the point!
I heard of this book from a free online radar course professor hosted by the University of New Hampshire and taught by Dr. Robert O'Donnell. I skimmed a couple of chapters and found the mathematics to be very clear as well as the humor demonstrated by Dr. Griffiths. Later on, I took a upper classmen undergraduate course in EM and used this book as a supplement; I basically, read this book instead of the one chosen by my professor. I am very happy to have purchased this book and thank Dr. Griffiths for writing such a majestic piece of literature.I highly recommend this book to all EM enthusiasts.

Great book
As any physics or STEM major would tell you, this is a fundamental book to have for Electricity and Magnetism. I bought the book second-hand from the seller "Better World Books South" and everything went well. I donated the book after 6 moths, but it was very useful during the time I had it.PS: I have stopped buying paper books and now use mainly digital versions of books. E-books basically do not occupy physical space, which is pretty convenient. They can also be made available across many devices.

Great book - was sent an illegal version though.
I received the Indian edition. The picture showed the US/UK edition (fine print did say what it really was). I'm torn, I don't want to buy an illegal copy (the one I got says it cannot be sold in the US, which is presumably why the image was, er, different) but my students struggle to afford the hardback.Guess I have to read the fine print from now on.It is an excellent book - my only complaint is Amazon selling a copy in the US that is explicitly labelled for export.

The math is great, in particular chapter one
I have a master's in mathematics but not much of background in science, so a lot of the book is a mystery and is left unread. It did force me into quite a bit of googling! The math is great though, in particular chapter one. It gave me an intuitive understanding of the formal mathematics I learned in college.

I enjoyed this book very much.
This is a fantastic treatment of electrodynamics. It's great as a reference, too. I enjoyed how the author balanced the mathematics with the physics. Electrical engineering follows naturally if you understand mathematics, this book allows you to see that and prepares the reader with great knowledge in math that can be applied to electrical engineering concepts.

Check the ISBN
This edition is manufactured in India, and is authorized for sale in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Maldives only. However, if you're in the USA, you probably need ISBN 9781108420419.

Not as shabby as I expected, but I can see why everyone complains.
I did not receive the book with THIS cover, which is what I though at was led to believing that I purchased. I wanted the phi cover, got the Pearson one instead, with an entire chapter missing and a poor table of contents. As far as other reviews, I can't say the book is terrible, but It is weakly put together, and it seems like something I could've printed at home and then glued. The printing is all right though, and EM is still a fun subject, so I think it's worth a buy.
