A very age appropriate, short and simple read with actual correct body part names, which is extremely important. I like that it repeats the phrase “my body is my own” and when it talks about unwanted touch, it repeats the phrase “I can say no. I do not like that!” Repeating important phrases can be very helpful when teaching children an important lesson. I loved this book and that it was very short and focused on how to deal with unwanted touch and was conveying the message that we should never feel like we have to let someone hug us or touch us if we don’t feel safe or don’t want to be touched. It further explained that if this DOES happen, we need to tell a safe adult(s) and even further explains WHO a safe adult can be and that this can look different for everyone, which is also extremely important because your child’s safe adult may be his or her grandfather whereas another child’s safe adult may absolutely NOT be that same person in their lives.I also appreciated that it didn’t show drawings or pictures of private parts since this book is for my 3 year old, but rather showed a picture of a boy and girl next to each other in bathing suits and explained (with correct body part names) that boys and girls have different private parts and that their mouth is also a private part. Very very thankful that this part was included because we often don’t even think that a mouth is also a private part, but of course it is for obvious reasons.I’m going to look at the other books in this collection now.

Great book! I would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to teach their children about body safety in a simple, but I’m impactful way. I appreciated that they used the real worlds for private parts instead of nicknames which is SO important. My five year old son was interested the whole time we read it and I could tell it got this important message across.

This is a hard subject to breech. The story is simple, to the point and non-threatening while still giving strong advice. Told through the voice of the child it is easy for young children to understand. Highly recommend. Great discussion starter.

I appreciate this book helping me have that uncomfortable BUT very important conversation with my kid. And it was written so my kid understands.

Must read for kids and parents. Broached the topic of safety in an illustrative manner. Keep up the good work

We weren’t sure what the right way to approach this subject was, so we purchased a book. It worked out.
