Based on Price - Does the job
I bought 2 of these as my main Bain Marie decided to die before I had to do some food for my friend;s birthday. It does heat up quickly and produces a consistent ampunt of heat - so on that front it is perfectly acceptable - however the actual pans they give you are a very inferior quality - more like a very strong foil container as opposed to a stainless steel pan and BEWARE they are very sharp around the edges. All that being said - I have tons of other pans to use so for me not a pronblem - and secondly for the price you pay it is perfectly acceptable.Would i buy another set or 2 - yes I would.

Heats up OK but floats up when you put water in
The bain marie heats up well but when you put water in it the container just floats up and doesn't remain down even with food in it, and therefore needs to be heated at a higher temperature to maintain.
