High Quality Stringer for a good price.
High Quality Stringer for a good price.I admit I am not yet a fisherman, but my buddy is and he is teaching me. He used to fish in “bass tournaments” (whatever that means) so he claims he knows what he is talking about and he owns a big motorboat and a little motorboat. Anyway I showed him this stringer that I am adding to my tackle box. He said it was a really nice stringer for use when fishing from his small motorboat or from a canoe. He has some kind of apparatus that he that he is going to set up for me that he adds to the stringer to conceal the sharp tip of the spike until you need it and still keep “all” the fish on the stringer. He said that I got a high quality stringer at a good price. I am only going to go fishing with a knowledgeable fisherman.

You get what you pay for
I have not used it as yet in the sea. However, it looks very durable. Looks up to the task.

Fishies Don't get away
If you're looking at this to go SpearFishing and catch fish with, then go look somewhere else. This item is to HOLD/tether the fish that you've already speared safely. You poke the sharp end through the fish and because it will lay flat against the fish after you're penetrated them, the fish can't slip off your line. It should function fine for it's purpose but I do worry about the fish wiggling around and the sharp end of the spear stabbing you at some point. It's all possible

Strong, well-made, anti-rust stainless steel
This is a good quality stringer. It is strong and well-made. I have no worries about it ever breaking. The clip is very strong and sturdy. I'm not worried about it rusting because it's made of marine grade stainless steel. The tip is sharp. It is a good size that makes it easy for me to manipulate with my hands. The price is very reasonable. I am happy with this product.

Hold's fish
It's a stringer like every other stringer. The difference with this one is the clip. It is not too hard to open and close, and it will fit on your belt loop just fine. Seems a bit stronger than other clips (which may or may not be a good thing, lol). Overall, a good product.

Great for spearfishing - with one little "hack" to make it better
I use this for free dive spearfishing. Normally just to be able to swim a large (20+ lbs) fish back to the boat or beach after shooting it. I prefer this type of stringer because it is quieter and more compact than the big SCUBA type ones that look like a giant diaper pin. The one hack I always add is to take a piece of old band material (with a loop of dyneema wishbone) and tie it to my weight belt on the left side of my weight belt buckle, then I clip this stringer to the right side of the buckle and run the stringer behind me and around to my left side and then plug it into the piece of band material. It keeps it there at the ready whenever I need it, and keeps it tight against my body while diving in the kelp so it does't dangle down and hang up on stuff.
