Works well for repairing wooden chair joints.
I bought this strap clamp for repair of loose wooden chair joints. Typically, chair manufacturers use mortise and tenon or doweled joints which can become loose over time. These strap clamps are ideal for clamping and holding the unusual configurations and angles found in many chairs. Yes, this is an inexpensive strap clamp but it seems to work quite well.

Works well, but...
This works well. The only problem is if you have a frame that is thin. It tends to slip out of the corners. I am going to glue small pieces for sand paper in the corners to prevent the slipping on the smooth plastic. Otherwise, it is easy to use.

Clamp strap does hold a box together tightly for gluing. Product doesn't appear finished.
This strap clamp is probably better than tying surgical tubing together like has been mentioned in some old woodworking periodicals, as it does hold a box together tightly as your waiting for the glue to dry. However, the strap is rolled up in a coil and rubber banded together. This isn't ideal for loosening the strap when your getting it around the work piece. It is somewhat cumbersome. It needs a scaffold or a bar to attach the coil to the piece, so (un)winding is secured. The price is right though.

AS Described .. Best way to glue up frames
This product is of high quality and more importantly just works. I dont do a lot of frames but when I do I now have at my fingertips the prefect solution for ensuring a straight and secure frame.
