Kidde KS468094 25ft 3-Storey Escape Ladder, Red/White

Looks like a good solid piece of kit that may well save our lives one day. For that piece of mind £63 is nothing. If you live or sleep in a top floor apartment/flat/bedroom and have no fire escape then go out and buy one of these today, you'd be a fool not to.

Have often worried about living on the third floor in apartment with only one way out except for jumping off balcony! This fits well over the balcony wall and though quite narrow looks a lot more sturdy than my husbands home made one! Think in a panic situation it is simple enough to cope with. It is heavy but not unacceptably so. If it hadn't looked good quality I wouldn't have carried it thousands of miles onan airline! Worth it for peace of mind.

Great product. We were worried about what we would do if there were a fire on the stairs trapping us at the top of the house. This is amazingly small and tucked away in a corner. I sleep well at night knowing we have Thai around.

We've recently had an extension & loft conversion, so got this for the loft window. But whilst we're sure it will work ok, if needed, the walls are thicker than the hooks, so it'll have to rest on the outer window ledge as it doesn't reach from one side of the wall to another. It's worth double checking if you're not happy to have it 'not as shown on the picture', but we couldn't find anything like this with wide enough hooks, so better this than nothing.Product arrived quickly and is well made, so if ever used (and we're obviously hoping it never will be) we're sure it would provide a safe means of escape regardless of it not fitting exactly as shown in the pictures.

Great escape ladder! We bought them for every one of our serviced apartments and tried them out right away.From the 3rd story, there will still be a 5 - 6 foot jump, but it's better than jumping 3 stories!These ladders are one of those things you REALLY appreciate you have, once you need it!

I'll first say we have never had to use this. Once bought, we inspected it and it now sits under the bed in case of emergency.If you do buy one of these for peace of mind (recommend!!), make sure you think through the plan should you need it so you understand how to secure and use as a means of escape.Even if you don't buy this, make sure everyone in your household knows your emergency plan and escape routes - it may save your life and that of those you love one day.

well we actually haven't used this which is a good thing, They are a "one use only" device in case of a fire. As we have an attic room we thought it a good safety precaution. Let's hope we don't have to use it. However it does give you peace of mind.
