Thanks for reading my review on the sodastream Twin Pack 1 Litre Reusable BPA Free Water Bottles for Sparkling Water Maker, Compatible with Spirit, One Touch, Power, Genesis, Jet, Cool 2 x Refillable Bottles - Grey.I bought these to avoid buying throw away plastic bottles from the supermarkets, saves space in my recycling & micro plastics ending up in our sea’s which was a factor for buying a soda stream. The bottles are great quality, easy to clean with a bottle brush & really sturdy leak proof lids. We can take them on picnics and lunch boxes with carbonated water in them, gives your water a fizz!

Great product

I use these bottles everyday.I was getting addicted to too much red wine mixed with port........not good!I now enjoy chilled sparkling water with lots of fizz......more than the fizz in shop bought sparkling water!The sodastream gas bottles are too expensive to replace each month so I now hire a big CO2 bottle that lasts for about 10 months........ a lot cheaper and a lot cheaper than alcohol.I wash the bottles in hand hot soapy water periodically......NOT dishwasher.A good investment......and feeling healthier ☺️I've tried to enjoy drinking alcohol but now it doesn't taste good so I've been alcohol free for 2.5 years.Highly recommended

It feels a little daft reviewing an empty plastic bottle. But after using these, there are a couple of things worth mentioning. First off is the build quality, it is superb. The bottles have really thick skins, and do not crush when you pick them up, like a 1 litre supermarket fizzy drink bottle would. This actually makes them much easier to use, as you are not running the risk of the bottle squeezing-in just as you go to pour the contents into a glass and launching the contents over the table and floor. The second point is that the bottles have a smooth, large neck, which makes drinking directly from them quite nice. The third point is that the lid fastens on via a large, coarse thread, with a built-in pressure release slot, just like you find on 'proper' fizzy drinks bottles. The lid has a soft, very effective gasket inside, and tightens and unscrews very fast and easily. The bottles are so! nice to use in fact, that I (rather lazily) just create my drink on the SodaStream Jet and drink it straight from the bottle.

Purchased the soda stream twin packet for £11.99. The line on the side of these two bottles are lower than the original bottles I got from my old sodastream unit. Therefore I do put a little bit more water in these then the line shown on the size. The line is set at 840ml but the older bottles of the same size had a line but did not show the amount of ml to the line. These worked out at just under 900ml - approx 890ml.I use water from the cold water tap to fill a britta filter jug and then fill the Sodastream bottles from the jug.I usually overfill the old bottles slightly anyway, to around 950ml and do the same to the new bottles before adding the gas and the slowly adding the syrup.I do not use the full amount of syrup recommended on the ingredients bottle, I usually pour in one line lower than recommended per the syrup bottle as I am happy with that level of taste. (Personnal Taste everyone is different).Once the top is on I turn upside down once slowly then put right side up and store in the fridge for later.

I purchased this to replace some rather old SodaStream bottles (they may have expired a few years ago now). The whole system hadn't been used for a few years so it was time to get it out and deal with those fizzy cravings. They are high quality and fit my very old SodaStream. I know there is a newer one out there which takes glass bottles which do not fit my system.Overall these are good quality, which you expect when you know it is going to be put under a lot of pressure. Easy to clean out and store away. Will purchase again in the future when these ones need replacing.

Does the job

These are great sized bottles for using with sofa stream concentrate and a quooker sparkling chilled water tap. No soda stream machine required.
