Works Great!
So you have to empty the basket about every 45 minutes. Big deal! It makes 2 sizes of ice, but we always make the bigger ones. We fill gallon freezer bags as the ice is made and all we have to do is give it. Thump and the cubes break up easily. Our tap water has been detected to have lead, so we use a water purifier for water, and have not yet had an issue! Great unit, no nosier than a dishwasher, and far more convenient than buying ice!

Perfect addition to an RV
I prefer not having to buy if I can help it. We start our trips by filling an ice bucket from home but on longer trips, it will eventually run out. Depending on the trip, buying ice either ends up with a lot of waste or having to buy and buy and buy. This thing cranks out ice fast! Yes, it is "wetter" ice so once we transfer it to our ice bucket in the freezer, it will want to freeze together and we have to break it up a bit, but that's no fault of the machine. For the price and size, this unit worth it. My only very minor complaint is the location of the drain hole. They should have either sloped the bottom of the water container or put the hole in the corner to make it easier to fully drain.

Wish it produced nugget ice but for the price this is OK
A smallish ice maker that sits on the counter without overwhelming it. It produces pellet sized ice with a hole in the middle. I typically turn it on late morning to get the ice maker going and turn it off in the evening. Any left over ice melts overnight into the water reservoir for use the next day. I initially had it inside a cabinet with a closed door but this did not allow enough heat rejection, so reverted to sliding it out of the cabinet during operation. The “ice full” and “add water” sensors shuts down the unit. The amount of ice is sufficient for our family size of two. Noise fits in with our other whirring kitchen products and gets tuned out quickly. The loudest sound it makes is when ice is ejected into the ice bin. For the most part it is off during day after it fills with ice. Wish it was nugget ice, but for the price this was a good compromise. Lots of reviews from many different kinds of ice makers of this kind that failure is an option after 1-2 years, so the price helps cushion this event should it happen.

Melts quickly
Yes. It makes ice, but melts quickly. My son has a similar one, Wizisa, and there is still ice 24 hours later.

OK... Just OK
About the one thing I can say is that all of these look like they have the same inners. Basket is the same, water tank, etc. Lid has a edge for opening on the side rather than on the front lip. Control buttons are on the front, rather than the top. The last one I purchased in 2022 had issues. The "full" beam didn't work half the time and it continued to make ice so it was overflowing. It just wasn't worth the time to replace it. THIS unit, that works OK. The problem is it piles up some cubes and stops, then what's in the basket is melting too soon, probably because the ice itself is on the SOFT side. It isn't as hard as what the other produced. This level of freezing isn't as good as the other unit that was also $50 less than this. I purchased it because of the name Igloo, expecting something different. Except for the location of the controls, they all seem to be about the same.I don't know why they ask about flavor. I use water I've filtered using a Zero Filter. Always good. In the long run, I wish I had bought to cheaper unit. I run this 24/7 BTW. It's my source of ice.

Works perfect
It’s not too big and it’s not too small. It’s it makes a little noise but it’s very light. You don’t really notice it until the ice drops or when you first turn on and you hear the compressor but it’s not that other than that it makes ice consistently we like it.

Maybe It's Because Its Refurbished?
The media could not be loaded. I live in Houston Texas where water is very, very hard. With the hard water comes nasty stuff inside refrigerators and ice machine water pumps. I've noticed a lot of friends who have ice makers on their fridges get this stuff that looks like dryer lent when the ice cubes melt along with some other strange white particles. A repair person advise servicimg and having the line flushed regularly (expensive and timw consumimg if you do it yourself) will help but the issue will always be their because of the hard water.I decided to stop using the dispenser and just buy bagged ice from a reputable company. That works in the winter, but in thw summer its a drag to run out with limites space amd not have ice on a hot Texas day. I saw this with good reviews ans said why not.First, it is beyomd noisy. Them theirs the issue of the ice production. It state's it creates 26 pounds a day in 6 to 15 minute intervals depending on if you make small ir slightly bigger cubes. The picture I have of ice in the basket is from overnight. As you canxsee its no where near 10 lbs of ice. Because the basket and the water reservoir are held together, the basket is very small. Once the basket gets too full a sensor makes the ice stop producing and the red full light comes on. Often cubes falling the wrong way and blockc the sensor and make it stop making ice, so your constanly moving ice back or down to get more ice made. If you should be so lucky to get a true full basket, the ice near the top melts slightly due to it being so close to the room temperature plastic lid. The melting ice will run back into the reservoir allowing you to reuse ice made from water that is supposed to be changed every 25 to hours by manufacturer recommendations. This machine is a pain to maintain. Yet, I can't say for sure this brand is inherently bad, but the design of any machine like this is going to give you the same issues of overheating cubes on the top, sweating, noise and low production. I will be returning. Not completely sure if its a bad product or bad design but its not a good design. Amazon usually does pretty good woth the quality of its refurbished items. I've done more research and I'm now looking for brands with the water reservoir in the back or side allowing for deaper ice collection baskets. They cost a bit more money, but worth it if I can get ice without feeling like I should be gettimg paid due to working so hard for it.
