If you a cam girl, this is perfect for streaming your cams! It is so fast and no glitches! I had an old ethernet cord (no amazon) and it was Hella old. And I bought the Amazon cord and it's brilliant so much smoother faster and I've made double my money for a day then I normally do before I bought it. Fancy that Amazon made me money lol

Plug that bit into there and the other end into there and the Internet appears on that. I don't know how they squeeze the bigger pictures down the wire but I have to say for the money it works like a charm

This is a review of the AmazonBasics RJ45 CAT6 1Gbps Ethernet LAN Patch CableThey're well-built, look quite sturdy, and perform well. My only reservation is that the actual RJ45 transparent connector is partially covered in a rubbery shroud - as, indeed, are many types of Ethernet cable from other manufacturers. I bought four of these, all of which were to be plugged into my Virgin Media SuperHub 3 broadband router. Maybe the problem arises because the Ethernet ports on the router are a bit too close together, but what I found is that the (fairly thick) rubbery shroud makes it a tight fit to get the cables to plug into adjacent ports - to the extent that it was difficult to get the connector to lock into place. I'd prefer to use a cable that wasn't such a tight fit.

Nothing exceptional about this item. It is a simple patch cable that works well. I use this cable to connect my ISP's router to the ONT (Optical Network Terminator) that my full fibre Internet connection is delivered through. The ONT will always be mounted on an external wall but for most homes the router will need to be towards the centre of the home to ensure adequate WiFi coverage. Consequently, the cable running between the two will limit the maximum speed of your Internet connection if it is does not meet the required standard.The Amazon cable came packed in a simple brown, card box that protected it during transit. The box was of an adequate size to ensure that the cable was not wound too tight, avoiding the risk of damage to the wires within it. Running a speed test on my computer demonstrates that this cable is capable of delivering the full 500mbps service that I am paying for, so I am completely satisfied with it.

I've been buying Amazon Basics products for a few years now and they have served me well. from HDMI to USB cables they all seem good value. When I was looking for a CAT6 cable for wired gaming, i didn't hesitate in choosing this over more expensive alternatives. The quality is what I expected and feels completely fine. What this cable gives me is the fastest speed possible to my router and stability compared to WIFI which can sometimes be flaky as it's impacted by things in the house. If you're looking for an affordable cable for gaming, consider this.

I purchased this cable to connect my FireTV to the wired ethernet connection throughout my house, it fits the FireTV fine but the rubber housing on the end of the plugs does not allow me to plug into the wall socket in my house, all other ethernet cables I own have no issues whatsoever. I purchased this as a replacement for a cable I accidentially broke. Unfortunately it looks as though I may have to purchase another and different cable without the rubber housing / enclosure over the plug. The quality of the cable however seems absolutely fine and top notch.

Got one for my bedroom Xbox One to connect to my LAN extention and one to get a more stable hardwired connection to my laptop in the living room, faster and more stable speeds than WiFi (obviously!)Nice quality thick cabling and perfectly good connectors.Would certainty purchase again if needed.(Not sure why there's a rating for WiFi signal in the review, so gave it 1* as it's irrelevant?)I only have it 4*s for gaming as Cat6e is faster and what I use to connect my routers, home office (gaming!)
