It worked for me!
I have just fitted a new oak toilet seat with those plastic screw fittings that seem to be quite common nowadays. I couldn't get the screws quite tight enough by hand so I ordered this little tool. It did the job perfectly and I now have a firmly fixed loo seat that no longer wobbles. Although several folk here have mentioned that the doddler is expensive for what it is (and they are right), it did save me having to call out an even more expensive handyman so I am happy.

The job was done
The spanner side was what I am looking for to remove the old seat , but the other side need some improvement as it didn't work - a bit wide - but my new seat was easy to tight with hands.

Expensive and didn't work.
I was unable to get this to fit any of the toilet seat fastenings in my 3 toilets so I returned it for a refund.Perhaps if there had been some basic instructions instead of just a description of how great it is I might have got it to work though I cannot for the life of me see how.I have to say that even if it had worked it would have been expensive for what it is - perhaps worth £5.Disappointing as the concept is quite good.

Expensive and not as good as it looks
Had this gadget operated to expectations then I would say it was 5 stars and excellent value for money, that really was what I was expecting, but it fell quite a long way short in use. The joint in the middle, which looks like it would make a handy lever when at right angles to the main shaft, moves in 2 rather than 1 dimension - this makes it difficult to use it as a lever. It's also very easy to give yourself a very nasty pinch! The flesh from your hand and fingers can easily get trapped in the joint. Furthermore, because the head has slots for a variety of nuts, it makes locating the correct one a bit hit and miss. It's very easy to engage the nut of the loo seat in the wrong combination of slots in the head. That said, once you've got used to the quirks it is possible to use this to do the job it's intended for. It's OK, but I wasn't expecting to find several flaws in the design, and also give myself the skin pinch from hell given the price.

No more holding the rim for dear life
Finally I can poop safely on my tightly secured toilet seat! The extremely restricted space was no problem for the Doddler and I was very surprised how much pressure I could use as the tool feels quite flimsy.Worth every penny.

Didn't work for me
Delivery service was excellent as delivered next day (Prime customer) as expected. Unfortunately I will be returning it as unsuitable for the fittings on my toilet seat. Very disappointed as I had read on other vendor sites claims that this fits 95% of all seat fixings. Typical luck mine are in the 5% it doesn't. Please look at my included photographs. If you have the same do not buy this item. I imagine for wing nut and hex nut fixings it would prove very useful.

A good product but double check the shape of your toilet ...
A good product but double check the shape of your toilet pan. We can just about use this but it is tricky as out toilet pan has an uncommon design.
