Our dwarf hampster hates then the top cover is attached. She likes to crawl under it however when it is detached from the bottom half and just sits to the side. It's a female hamster - go figure! But she loves to bath in the bottom half without the cover - I think she just really likes to create a mess by throwing sand all over the place!! Hope you see the humor in this - this bathroom is a great product for your pet to enjoy their baths in whatever manner they wish... :-)

The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of the larger size, 1 for my son’s black bear hamster and 1 for my daughter’s dwarf hamster and they are great! My daughter holds her hamster all the time and her fur gets oily so I read sand baths were great for that and needed something that would fit in their cages and they could use whenever - and these are perfect! They are sturdy and a great size.
