fantastic looking strings. well made.
Let's face it, the primary reason you'd be interested in these is because of the look. I am glad to say they look exactly how I'd hoped. The colours are strong, bright and flawless. The strings look fantastic. The construction is reassuringly high quality and the strings sound good. The only point I can mention is that for a finger picking bassist like me, the colour coating is slightly grippy out of the packet which makes them a bit more difficult to play initially. However this seems to fade quickly over a day or to as you wear the coating smooth and get a bit of oil from yourSkin on there too. It's not an issue now.

Ohhh baby these are good.
I wouldn't have bought these myself - my daughter wanted neon strings on her Fender JazzMaster. I thought they'll probably look cool at the expense of sounding awful. But damn. They're hands-down better strings than any strings I've ever used myself. Professionally. I myself normally use a mashup of Ernie Ball Super and Extra Slinky (6 string electric) or plain old D'Addario 12s (acoustic). My daughter has only has ever had Fender on her JM (which I sometimes steal). All these strings are good (maybe Fender more being the "OK" tier in my opinion). But DR? These are amazing. An absolute different league. The attack is absurd; instant tonal engagement. The brightness/springiness and warmth of the note - it's like nothing I've heard. The sustain is incredible; the note carries more like a grand piano with the sustain pedal down. Even how well it tunes - no "settling in" - it just works. Oh - and they *feel* warm and smooth, more like nylon wound than nickel. The finish doesn't feel like regular nickel/steel strings - but this feels really nice - and functionally it gives for a better slide on a bass with less "scratch" getting picked up on a change. (Maybe this smoothness is what all "coated" strings feel like - but it's not something I've ever really gone in for.)One thing that's weird is that they feel like old strings - oddly enough. They feel like strings that have been on the instrument for a while and lost tension. They're definitely lower tension than regular strings. But this is also cool - it makes for effortless, solid fret contact, solid notes and cool high bend abilities.I would grumble about the price - but if strings are *this* good it's deserved. I frankly dismissed all the stuff about "handmade strings" as hipster nonsense. Oh look! We're "artisinal"! We bake the strings in small batches! Triple price please. But not at all; whatever they're doing is so different, so right. In fact you know what, forget the price. I'm thinking of trying out the DR TITE strings on my 6-string electrics. I'm honestly looking at changing my strings, for life. Maybe not in neon though. (That aside though, the neon is really neon-y. And is so cool.)

New coating means strings look great and last longer
These strings are bright in sound brilliant for my application in music, best used with active bass circuitry.l play ska and reggae and colours compliment my bass beyond expectation. Just put on new set, old set still bright after 18 month of hard giging.

Sound and look great, but sticky to play
Sound great, look cool (especially with uv light on) but the coating is kinda may finished, so it feels a bit sticky doing slides etc. I'm gigging with them so will see how they get on
