Good price, Good product
I have had countless amounts of these types of soldering irons over the years (Pro Mech) , i have paid from £10 - £60 and none have been any better than another. So i bought this Amtech one as it seemed ok and was very cheap at time. All i can say is it's probably the best one iv'e used, solid build and quick heat up and has no issue being used for long periods of time.

No contact details
Worked well for about 3 hours, tip melted through! Changed tip and fuse, now won’t work.Cannot contact supplier and can’t return as 30 day window closed!?!In the bin I guess?Frustrating.

Ok soldering iron
Well packaged in nice car with soupy of solder. Mine took too long to heat up so I returned it but maybe I was unlucky or expected too much. If it works for you it is good value.

High power soldering iron
Back in the day, nearly all soldering irons looked like this, it's fast, gets hot, if you are reasonable at soldering, it shouldn't take long to do the job and you won't hit the time out of the unit.I've done loads of joints, some being car battery type of connectors 60 amp plus, these needed a big iron, this was just fine, nice and light, just leave it in the boot now.

Not greatly impressed
Worked fine for a couple of days .. then would not even melt solder in the 12 second duty cycle .. couldn't solder 2 small gauge wires .. ..Then found one of the fastening sleeves wasn't fully tight . Not been touched .. tightened it and now ok again, but already lashed out and bought a Weller ..
