Bosch Smart Home smart plug with app function, compatible with Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple HomeKit

Works very well in conjunction with smart controller

Internally, this appears to be based on the eQ-3 (Homematic IP) equivalent product though the systems are not currently compatible - I did try. They are easy to setup but need to be deconfigured if the controller is factory defaulted. My setup was simply linking it to a couple of Universal switches though the app lacks a lot of features for my needs. A fair number of controller updates have been pushed out over the last year so there is hope the system will improve over time. I moved on from LightwaveRF but they may still be a viable option with their updated product range and the app was more feature rich, at least with the original range of devices I had.

Wouldnt connect to my internet and is usless

I love Bosch's smart home system, it's by far the most reliable, intuitive and best thought-out system I've come across. These plugs are no exception, fully integratable with other parts such as thermostats and motion sensors, as well as having their own raft ofsettings/options. The only downside is price, but you can usually find special offers popping up pretty regularly.

Good quality item, works well for home heating control in individual rooms. Not cheap but have had no problems with it

I purchased 3 of these plugs to replace some older energy monitoring plugs and the bosch ones are not accurate and don't give proper real-time usage of energy being used.The plug even though it's 2 metres from the controller constantly losses connection.Waste of money especially as you're also forced to buy the controller as well.

Not explained clearly in the description but it requires a Bosch smart home controller to work
