I have a full-time payroll job installing and servicing vinyl doors and windows. This knife lives in my install bags, and I have zero caveats with using it- the ambidextrous side operation is ideal for the task of cutting Tyvek paper and butyl flashing cleanly and precisely while constantly alternating with other tools; I can use either my finger or my thumb to extend the blade, depending on the angle and direction of the cut. The automatic retraction means that the pocket on my bags I stow the knife in doesn't get chewed up. It's a tool that is fast to use and to stow in my daily workflow; light enough to maintain my loadout of tools without my bags slipping off my hips, but sturdy enough to cut drywall or clean a ragged cut in OSB sheering (the plastic appears to be glass fiber reinforced nylon). The 'safety' of the features is probably lost on me; I bought this tool for the sense of function I got from it, and it has delivered. For $10, I will be buying this model of utility knife for a long time.

In my business I want to keep working injuries to zero events. We cut a LOT of corrugated sheets and as accidents will happen I wanted to reduce that possibility. I have literally tried dozens of different types of safety knives but this is the only one I would recommend. The switch on the side can either completely loch the blade closed or can limit the length of exposed cutting blade by two different lengths. Another factor is this knife can use any standard utility blade rather than woo many that require you to buy propiety blades at unbelievably high prices.

I was self-employed in construction all my life. I've purchased countless sheetrock knives, construction blades and all kinds of cutting tools. Many boast of safety features but this one takes the cake. The built-in retracting slide mechanism is the crown jewel of this simply safe knife. The blade is easily changed and you're back to safe cutting. Great product!

I love the texture of the cutter.Good price, good cutter.Like the blade length feature, wish there was a middle length.Will buy again if i lose this one.
