It works good for the price! Not the best design for young kids
I admit I purchased this solely because of the low price,39$. I was worried at first due to the lack of clear instructions (obviously made in a foreign country as there were lots of typos and redundant info in it). So I simply researched candling and the basics online. I collected eggs from my own hens and popped them in.Pros:-PRICE!-clear viewing done-11 out of 12 eggs hatched with only minimal effort-Hatched 1 day early, even. All hatched within 17 hrs of each other.-temp was automatically set and I didn’t have to change mine-the autoturner worked great-the temp stayed within .5 at all times-Came with some random nipple type waterers? So I suppose that could be considered a bonus.-came with a small candler light (batteries not included)but I didn’t use it, we just used a high output flashlight we hadCons:-temp reader is Celsius be aware of that-no humidity reader so have that on hand yourself.-May need to drill a small humidity outlet hole on top. Cover with tape when not needed to be open-The humidity bottle did not work, instead I just added alittle water everyday. If you choose to use the one that came with it, be aware it just dumps the whole bottle inThe biggest con::- there is no “lip” that will hold eggs in when you remove the turner at lockdown. This causes eggs to roll EVERYWHERE and a lot of concern and stress. They need to just make a better lid/lip-removing chicks was a 2 person job due to no lip holding eggs in place.-the lid barely fits and not securely, so I taped it on so that it would stay put and not get knocked loose by the chicks when they hatched-12 is quite stuffed when they hatch, be awareAll in all, with alittle fiddling I was pleased with the price and that it worked. This incubator is Probably not best for a classroom type or young children due to the lack of basic safety for the eggs but for adults that know not to mess with it, move it or touch the humidity bottle it is great.

Works great!!
Great incubator for its price, of 15 eggs I only lost one, and of the 14 remaining 12 hatched. I’m a first time hatcher, and for someone who’s never actually done this before this incubator made it a breeze. The rotator works great, I also placed down unbleached coffee filters on the floor of the incubator so my quail would have something to grip to, which probably also helped the rotations.I highly recommend purchasing a small hygrometer to place in it as well. Very easy to clean, everything comes apart into pieces. Utilizing the styrofoam packaging is incredibly smart and helped keep everything insulated during winter months. Pretty quiet too honestly, just a gentle whirring sound

High humidity results in dead chicks!
The media could not be loaded. Read the reviews and expected no issues with the this incubator. However, there is no humidity adjustment on this unit. And the humidity levels are way too high for incubation. After reading about the concerns with elevated humidity levels, I decided to trust the unit and incubate anyway.Sad to say that tonight we had 2 chicks that pipped and then drown due to the excess fluid from the elevated humidity during development. We did have 3 successful chicks hatch out of 12, but it was devastating to see so many babies die at the final hour due to a fixable flaw in the incubator. Simple vents could have been installed to regulate the humidity. Or some units have additional water basins that are filled only during hatching.I hope this incubator fixes this deadly flaw so no more baby chicks drown to death before they have a chance to fully hatch :(

Good value, low hassle incubator
This was my first time incubating eggs, they were from my backyard flock, with hens that were fairly new layers. I had to get rid of the rooster and decided if I wanted to try incubating some eggs that it was a good time. The incubator has a few quirks but overall worked well for me considering the price. It came preset with the appropriate temperature. It does not have a humidity gauge, just a gravity fed bottle to add water. The water bottle is the part that is finicky. I added water every 1-3 days. It is tricky to know how much to add because it doesn’t flow into the incubator well unless you lift the bottle up a bit more. It also is messy to add water without spilling it because you have to flip the bottle over and it can flow out of the little tray it sits in (I ended up placing a container underneath when I filled it to minimize spillage). I had to pay attention to the water level under the grate in the incubator to add as needed but at one point I almost got the level in the incubator high enough to touch the eggs and come up through the grate. It automatically turns the eggs which is nice, as I did not want to deal with turning them by hand. I believe I removed the turner on day 17 (it’s recommended on day 18) because I saw at least one of my eggs starting to wobble and was afraid it would hatch early.I started with 12 eggs, and candles multiple times throughout incubation. 3 eggs I removed as they weren’t developing at all (I don’t think they were fertilized as they were all from the same hen). One egg I believe had a blood ring and died during development that I also removed. I was left with 8 eggs near the end of incubation, and 6/8 hatched. Even with only 6 chicks, it is a tight fit after they have hatched. So if more had been viable some of them may have needed to be removed before all the eggs hatched.Overall I was very pleased with the hatch rate and results considering my hens were new layers and I purposely chose a fairly cheap incubator with minimal day to day care.*also, it is worth noting that we had two power outages during incubation and I still had chicks successfully hatch.

Best incubator I’ve ever owned. Simple, accurate 💯
I have bought tons of incubators in my lifelong hobby of chickening. This is by far the best incubator I’ve ever owned. I’m shocked at how great this works for such a great price. Simple to use. Kept perfect temp and humidity. Auto turned the eggs every two hours. Had a great hatch and was easy to clean! Awesome product!!!
