Good product easy to use
Did exactly the job I wanted blocking up some gaps between the skirting and the floorboards that had the odd slug making its way in. Put some copper tape down under the floorboards then used this in the gap with the provided applicator.

A long thick rubber tube
On first use it is easy to think that you made a mistake buying this, but that would be wrong. I used it on a Victorian terrace wooden floor. It is hard work and you have to be inventive. it is thick so you need to stretch it to try and fit it in the gaps, and if it is still too thick you have to slice it down the middle to make it thinner. I used a flat head screwdriver to try and get it into the gaps. But it does work, just be prepared to work for it. If you are worried about the poor insulation of an old floor then the advantage of this product is that it gets you warm quite quick just trying to get it in the gaps. I also used a kneeling thing for weeding in the garden as you will spend many hours on your hands and knees. I might have it finished by the end of winter.

Easy to install, stays in place
Installed recently, but so far has not come out of the wider gaps between floorboards. Floorboards move and another product I've used occasionally comes out when the floor is walked on, so the squishiness of the DraughtEx is helpful there. Generally looks like dark shadows between the boards, quite smart.Installation really easy. The gaps under the skirting boards were a bit tight sometimes, so I ended up using a combination of a phillips screwdriver to hold one end in place and an old credit card equivalent or the plastic pizza wheel provided to install it. It also stretches to do slightly thinner gaps, which is helpful in avoiding chopping and changing between sizes and means you use less. I needed one and a half reels to do two rooms and a hallway, plus a reel of the next size up (approximately 34m2). So far, so good - floors definitely less draughty. Given the holes around our radiators and old knotholes in floorboards, am not worried about damp or air ciculation but considering if you're looking at getting airtight in an old house. The draughts coming from the remaining gaps are noticable, so it is having an impact.Would recommend and use again.

Good Product, Bad Tool
Product is really good and makes a huge difference stopping any draught. Tricky to get started but once going the applicator tool makes light work.. until the tool breaks.Friction on the pivot part caused the plastic to heat up and melt/fail.

Instant difference, no more draft
These are incredible! We have noticed straight away there is no more draft since we have suspended floorboards under the house so the cold was coming straight up. They were a pain to fit but just need some perseverance to work it in. The tool works great. Colour is perfect too, can't even notice they are in as it looks like a dark gap.

Very easy to install
Have vastly improved the draft in the hallway, best way to install is get a bit fixed and then stretch the filler and roll in

Generally what I wanted
It goes in quite easy and the 40m will go alot farther then you might think. It is to be used between 3-8mm gaps so if most of your gaps are 4-5mm for example it'll go 2-3 times as far.If gaps are 3mm or less, try and find the thinner stuff. I'd recommend having some on hand since surely you'll have smaller gaps then you think in some places. The provided tool is perfect for the bulk of the work, though doesn't work for the ends. The ends are really more of an art to get in properly, but that's how these tasks can be no floorboard set is the same so all come with their own set of simplicity and challengesGenerally what I was looking for in the end

Great product
Having stripped carpets off the floorboards upstairs i found rather alarming gaps - with light coming through from the downstairs lights! This product is brilliant! I bought the 8mm width as some of the gaps are shockingly wide - fits fantastically in the bigger gaps, and the smaller 'normal' gaps takes a bit of stretching and fiddling, but eventually gets in! Super easy to use with the wheel applicator - but to start off takes a bit of fiddling with poking the end in, but once you have one end in the applicator is super speedy. When stretched, i actually got the 8mm width in to tiny tiny gaps - but takes determination! Also recommend using an old credit card for some fiddlier/tighter gaps. Would recommend!
