Worked for a Week (UPDATE Seller Reached out )
I ordered one of these lids since the original Stanley lid leaks like crazy, straw or no straw, and sometimes I need to place my Stanley inside a tote bag or the cup ends up in some position where it might tip over. The good news is that the lid was working well right out of the box. I tipped my cup over and there was no spillage or leaking. I also liked the black color lid, and the price was right (good value). The little "hump" on the lip of the lid by the water hole did make it a bit awkward to drink from, but I could overlook that.I tossed the lid into the dishwasher to clean it and things weren't the same after that. The lid was slowly dripping when the cup tilted. One night my Stanley tipped over inside my work bag and water from the cup leaked all over the interior overnight. I made sure the sliding part was tight and that the lid was screwed on tightly.Long story short, the lid is somewhat useable as it still offers less spillage compared to the original lid that came with the Stanley, but it's not 100% spill proof if the cup tips or falls sideways.UPDATE: Original Seller reached out to me regarding the product not fully working and offered me a refund. I raised my review to 5 stars for excellent customer service! Thank you!

THESE ARE AMAZING! I drop my cups a lot…
Originally, I gave these tops a poor review, saying that after a few months, the sliders pop off of these, and they no longer work. The manufacturer reached out to me and asked if I would give their product a second chance. I took them up on their offer and everything changed.Full disclosure: I am very rough on my belongings. I have OtterBox Defender series on my iPhone and tablet, and I pretty much have to pad everything; I work with kids and inevitably I drop things. I’m like a child with my belongings. So, initially when using these tops, If the slider popped off, I kept trying to put it back on. I wasn’t using the replacements that come with the tops. I assumed they wouldn’t be any different- the sliders that came off looked the same (they’re not!).When I received the new tops I was sent, it occurred to me that maybe I should try the replacement sliders on my “broken tops” (remember, I was trying to put the original sliders that had popped off back on and that wasn’t working). I put the replacement sliders on my old tops and it was amazing how easily they were fixed. Now, I absolutely love them again!Don’t make the mistake that I did, trying to put the old slider back on if it pops off. If you drop your cup and it pops off (I dropped the cups quite a few times before that happened so don’t worry, they’re NOT fragile), USE one of the replacement sliders and the top/lid will be good as gold!I apologize to the manufacturer for my initial poor review – you have made me a believer! Thank you for your incredible customer service and reaching out to me.

It fits!
Unlike the lid that came with it this one is actually water tight. That is assuming you have the slider closed. It came with an extra slider which is good thinking on their part in case the first one wears out. I couldn't be happier with the product. Thank you for producing a quality product that actually does what it is supposed to do. Four stars because no one reads the five star reviews.!

Great sturdy replacement lid, for a great price
Works well, fits perfect. It’s a little loud when you unscrew it but that’s just because it’s plastic against metal I assume. Otherwise, I’ve dropped this a few times and it still hasn’t broken! Knock on wood though. Hasn’t gotten moldy, and I’ve put it through the dishwasher with no issue. I don’t use the thing that closes the hole because I keep my straw in it at all time but it slides really nicely- just can’t review on whether it’ll keep liquids in since I never close it. 10/10 recommend!

Better Option Than Original Stanley Lid
It is a better option than the original Stanley lid that is more for straw drinking and is not spill proof. I don't like drinking with a straw, but wanted a big tumbler that would fit in my car's cupholder. I looked at a bunch of options and my wife reminded me she had an extra Stanley cup that she'd got as a gift a couple years ago, so I tried it with the original lid and no straw and noticed it wasn't spill proof snd not great for drinking out of without a straw.I found this on here and decided to give it a try. I like it fairly well, but it's not what I would call perfect either. It is spill proof when you close it, which I appreciate. It is pretty easy to clean. It seems to help keep the drinks cold (but it's winter in Ohio in my car, so my opinion may change come summer). It's better to drink out of than the original lid, but still a little wonky (can't think of a good way to explain it).At this price point, if you're like me and don't like straws, I would recommend this, but also recognize there may be better options for more money.
