SynopsisJimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) is from a blue-collar family from the hills of West Virginia, whose clan has been famous for its bad luck for nearly 90 years. After being fired from his job, and with his ex-wife (Katie Holmes) threatening to move out of State taking their daughter with her, Jimmy decides he has to do something to get his family’s life back on track. With a little help from his brother Clyde Logan (Adam Driver), his sister Mellie (Riley Keough) and an incarcerated explosive expert, the aptly named Joe Bang (Daniel Craig), he plans to steal $14 million from the Charlotte Motor Speedway on the busiest race day of the year. Directed by Academy Award-winner Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven, Magic Mike, Traffic), Logan Lucky also stars Hilary Swank, Seth MacFarlane, Katherine Waterston, Sebastian Stan, and Brian Gleeson.

Daniel Craig is "Joe Bang" !? ..yup, & you'll love it
Saw this film initially when it first appeared on amazon prime, I downloaded it, watch it over a few times, then it became my airport / waiting room "go to" film, easy to pick up, easy to watch, well played out film. It's a caper that doesn't take itself too seriously, ,,no posturing in casino's, no wire hanging laser mazes, simply a good story set in the south with some very likeable rogues. When it came out it was not initially well received (nor was caddyshack) but it gained a following & an appreciation once seen end to end.Good humour & a stellar cast, this was independently produced so may have gone under the radar due to not having a crazy marketing budget.

A Bit Of Fun
A fun heist movie that certainly leaves you with a feel good factor. Watched it a couple of times now and still really like it. The whole cast made the movie and it was nice to watch a film that didn't leave me depressed for a change. It is what it is, a couple of brothers hoping to get some money together with their "slightly" crazy plan of robbing a race track. They enlist the help of a man who is still in prison to join them as well as his crazy cousins. It's a fluff piece but an enjoyable one.

Weird and Compelling
The pace and tone of this film puts me in mind of the Cohen Brothers. It is a gently paced but curiously compelling film. All the character are a bit weird and thats what makes it watchable. The humour is understated, very nuanced and altogether strange You think the story is predictable, which it is, but its also not predictable…all very Cohenesque in fact. This is not a Daniel Craig as we have seen him anytime before, which is good because it throws you quite a bit. This is the best thing I've seen of Channing Tatum, Riley Keogh makes a lot of a very small part, I look forward to seeing her in bigger roles, and as for Adam Driver, well he steals the show.Excellant DVD quality.

Logan Lucky
A good movie, lots of entertainment and a cameo performance by Daniel Craig, who would have thought he played 007 before this?Great music too, particularly the Groundhog's track 3744 James Road. I liked it so much, I bought the album that it's on, Hogwash, and a cracking album it is too.

Daniel Craig with bleached blond hair, and looking old
Not as good as I expected, but that said I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Enjoyable heist movie with inevitable comparisons to another franchise.
Having bought this mostly on the basis of the TV advert for the movie, I had little idea what to expect other than Daniel Craig pulling out a 'deep South' accent. I thought the film was actually pretty enjoyable, a good take on the heist movies of the past (and obviously the inevitable, often used comparison with the Ocean's 11 franchise). The cast were good, worked together well and I enjoyed the setting of the movie, in and around the Charlotte Motor Speedway.Definitely a good movie to pass a few hours without having to think too much!

Amusing, exciting caper story involving an unlikely group of misfits.
Loved the plot, pacing, wry humour, strange characters, and lots of misdirection and sleight of hand in the telling of this caper story about a group of random (or were they?) misfits who are pulled together by a seemingly failed ex-jock to execute a very major heist. As the story unfolds you wonder why and how each character is being chosen, and for what task in the complex plan. And the insights into life in WV are very interesting. At the end , the whole plan and how it actually worked is revealed in a terrific wrap-up in a bar. This was amusing, exciting, and satisfying.A much better film from this director than the Oceans 11 series with all those big name stars.
